It is crazy times! We have tried to stick to the stay at home plan with few exceptions. I have a routine dental check up next week, and I’m wondering if I should delay it. My husband has gone for two haircuts in the past 5 months. I haven’t had a haircut since January. But have one scheduled for later this month. With
Covid cases rising, I’m thinking it isn’t a good time to relax. But most people around me don’t seem to agree. I was surprised our county fair board decided to go ahead with the fair in August. The fairgrounds are here in our little village. Then school starts! Has me worried. Can they say the second wave has hit if we haven’t managed to exit the first wave?

I’ve been cleaning and reorganizing my sewing room this week. It doubles as a family A/P and A/R room. Trying to minimize the overlap that happens regularly. It took me two days to get this one corner done. At this rate it may take me weeks! LOL

Haven’t been very motivated to sew for some reason. I am still making masks. But not even that every day.

Stay safe and well!
hugs
Bev
But that corner looks mighty organized! I have cleaned, reorganized so many times in recent months, I can't find anything! We are still trying to sell our home, so every time I get a message that a viewing is scheduled, I "hide" all my extra stuff, but never in the same place. Last time I said to heck with it, this is still my home, and if the viewers can't see past my sewing machine, fabric & ironing board, they aren't going to buy it anyway! Whew!
I too am feeling that things are opening up really quickly & on a large scale. Our area has been doing well, but our province of Ontario, not so much! And now, we see pics of all the July 1st, Canada Day parties that happened all over, with lots of people, no precautions etc!
I had an appt today so shopped for groceries while out. Very few people wearing masks, and some who were wearing them, was a waste of a mask. People - cover your darn nose! Yes it's hot, I don't care! The mask I'm wearing is for your sake, please wear one for me!
I thought I was finally past the emotional upheaval of the early days of the pandemic, but for some reason, this week I've hit a bump in the road & having trouble focusing on the many projects I have going, walking my dogs, cooking etc.
So yesterday, I thought it was time I checked out our site again, thinking maybe I had missed an update.
I am so hoping everyone is ok and safe wherever they are! I'd be happy just to hear that our runner partners are hanging in there!
So that's hint to everyone - just please check in, say hi! The runners can be done anytime, but staying in touch is so important right now!

Hi Ladies,

Just a quick PM to say the the swap will be back this month. As we all had plenty of time to make runners before lockdown I will make the deadline for sign ups the 31st July 2020.

So if you want to take part in the swap PM me and I will start a new list. If you sign up it will be a commitment to take part and this will be the final "ready to mail list" as we started the swap previously. I will keep you all informed of sign ups as we go along.

I am looking forward to getting the swap up and running again.

Hugs

Caroline

Hi Ladies, I'm not in this swap but I just wanted to say HI. It feels so odd not to be making a runner to swap. Glad to hear your taking care of yourselves. Stay safe and I hope to see your swap go on soon. I miss the pictures. Hugs Mary

Hello, everyone! I hope you are all still healthy and well.

I sent a PM to Caroline this morning to let her know I am ready to mail. I went with a night theme for the swap.

I was inspired by the fireflies in our backyard. The past month or so, I’ve enjoyed sitting on the back deck and watching the fireflies blinking in the trees. It is amazing they flicker as low as the grass and as high as the tree tops. When I rock backwards, I can see the fireflies dancing in the night sky with the stars.

I’m looking forward to seeing everyone’s table runners!

Not long to wait now. I can't remember if I pm,d Caroline or just said I was ready to send. I've been busy this week sorting scraps I inherited, ironing, cutting into squares or strips.

Hi Sue,

Just checking in as you asked. All good here at the moment. We are basically isolating and only going out for absolute necessities that we cannot get delivered. DD is here at the moment but has to go back to London on the 1st September.... not looking forward to that.

i hope you are all keeping safe and well.

Hugs
