Wow! I received a wonderful package today! A beautiful table runner from Jaba. It is very long (about 50”) and will fit our dining table perfectly. It is so bright and cheerful. I feel like I’m on an island getaway. Thank you, Jan! You do beautiful work.

My runner is in the mail to my surprise swap partner! Hope she likes it! I've missed the action in this group! Glad we are firing up again!

Glad you like it Beverly, with me having to stay at home 24 - 7, I needed to work on bright sunshine and happy things. That floral fabric always made me smile when I was sewing it, think I was dreaming I was about 35 again and laying on the beach in Hawaii. Like I said, "a dream" for sure.

Its on it's way, Tracking says they are experiencing delays due to limited flights and increased parcel volumes .
I hope it is not a long wait for my swapper to receive her runner

So true, R-sea. There are delays everywhere. Then add on reduced number of flights. It will likely take longer than usual to travel great distances.

Not to be all nananabooboo but I’m already using my lovely table runner from jaba.

    Hi Ladies,

Lovely to see the runners coming in.... albeit slowly. We are living in such uncertain times and getting packages to international destinations is taking a little longer than normal, but we have a fantastic group of ladies and I can tell you..... we have never had a non-sender..... (you are all such a fab group).... so we just have to have a little patience. Just so my person knows...... yours went a little while ago, but it has a very long way to travel!

It is great to have th group up and running again. I will put the next one up in a day or two so you all have plenty of time to get making!

    Hugs

    Caroline

To keep us entertained, I’m sharing a photo of work I’m doing for my dad. He will be 98 in October! To put that in perspective, he was born in 1922.

Last year he gave me his ‘summer quilt’ to repair. A family member gave it to him many years ago. It has no batting, so lighter weight for summer nights. The backing has worn out and started to get holes in the fabric. He asked If I could fix it for him. I’m a little embarrassed he missed his summer quilt this year because I’m just now starting to work on it.

I’ve decided to replace the backing. I’m removing the binding and noticed the Quilter used a method I’m not familiar with. I’ve attached a couple of pictures that hopefully give you an idea of how she did it. Very interesting.

I couldn’t get photos to post earlier. Let me try again.
