Ube, I think that was a Spirograph! If you look at the pattern, it is a number of ovals overlaid symmetrically. That made the zigzag stitching of the edges fairly easy. I do like the mandala!

I loved the Spirograph! It was so much fun. All of the different colored ink pens......so awesome! Great childhood memories.

I finished the body of my mini tonight. I'm so pleased I've once again done something I'd never done before. Now just binding to do! Not long now.

Lovely fabric tlambing. I also loved the Spirograph. I think they have re-released them for the new generation - might have to buy one for myself

Haha! Y'all are so funny! I have been using a free app on my iPad called amaziograph for some time now....it's the digital version lol!

I'm laughing...I was reminded of taking a sheet of paper and drawing intersecting curved lines in graceful swirls with a pencil, then coloring the created geometric shapes with different colors to make "stained glass"...then used black construction paper to make a window frame overlay pasted with white school paste...oh is my age showing?!
