Just stopped in to catch up. Some really nice packages. Sorry to hear so many fighting the flu. Sending healing prayers out to all. Beautiful quilt Darlene-not surprised it won recognition. K~just think how well prepared you will be when you get ready to file papers for retirement. No one ever wants to learn to deal with bureacracy-not sure if I can even spell it. Hope it starts getting a little or rather a lot smoother really soon. One more long overtime day and the Yeah 3 day weekend!

Default Woot, Woot, Happy Dance!

Score! I received my package from Kristine (ada dabbler312)! Wow, she outdid herself shopping. Look at these goodies. Wrap-N-Zap with pattern to make a microwave cooking bag, EZ washout pencils, Slip 'N Grips, sweet needle threaders, seven aqua fat quarters, glass bell (to add to my bell collection) and Mr. Nutcracker (to add to my nutcracker collection). Oh, thank you so much Kristine. I love everything! This was my first time participating in this swap and it was fantastic!

Tammy - glad you liked everything in the package; it was fun shopping for the uncommon items.

Well, I was more stressed and busy than I expected this month. I still have 1099's to get out before the end of the month, but the stress level decreased considerably this afternoon. I am very sorry to have not been "on board" this month and it's way too late to read everything and catch up now. I skimmed some of the pictures though and they were great.

As usual, I saved my homework until Sunday night (or SP package until the last minute) and it will go out tomorrow. It will go Priority, though, so my pal won't have to wait too awfully long.

Meanwhile I received my package from Trisha (Starshine). Thank you soooo, sew much. What a great end to my work day. She got me JUST what I wanted - Flower Templates from June Taylor. There was a wonderful magazine from 1990 - I have forgotten how good the quality was back then. It's on my weekend reading list. A couple of postcards of quilts for my postcard collection. She knows I like snowmen so there are snowmen shaped playing cards (I do play solitaire - reminds me of my grandma teaching me as a child) and a snowbaby who grows into a snowman when put in water. I also got the perfect kind of Rolos. Mini - bite size. Last week a few of us from work joined Weight Watchers and go to the meetings at lunchtime on Thursdays (today was my 2nd meeting). I lost 3.8 pounds this week, BUT, I don't want to deny myself of things I love, so I allow myself one piece of chocolate per day. These Rolos are "PERFECT". I get the taste and the satisfaction and they are not going to sabotage me. You can see by the photo that I also received a package of pink and lavender FQ's - my favorite colors. Thank you again, Trisha. I love my January SP package!!!!

Sorry that is so large! It was one of my first quilts and it won a blue ribbon! It is still my favorite!
I can see why it won. It's so cheerful and bright and makes you feel happy.

What fun packages! My SP received hers and sent a lovely PM to say thank you. Like many, she has been sick. Keeping my fingers crossed that we don't get sick here, too. There's no time! Now to dive back into the paper work. Ugh. Uh oh. But not before I clean up the mess one of my dogs made. He was always such a good boy, but now he cannot resist the kitchen garbage.

I got the BEST ever package from sewdawncute yesterday!!! I have never ever had someone who seemed to completely know ME by my list - she beat out all of my quilt guild secret quilters so far, and they know me in person! She sent me a large piece of snoopy fleece - she had no idea that is my favorite snoopy print, and I had one carefully hoarded fq of that in cotton, that I cut up to make my pincushion/scrap bag! She made be a lovely rainbow bag, with an extra rainbow applique. Hot chocolate, a rainbow lunch bag, lots of bright fabric, A 2013 block a day calendar, rainbow beads, milky way, purple slipper socks, Hershey's chocolate, toys for the cat and the dog - chester loves his little catnip pretzel, and Annie played fetch with her new air kong ball!
