In other news, my International package shows as having taken two days to get to Chicago from STL, and then there are no more entries - so it is somewhere between Chicago and and somewhere on the other side of the Atlantic.
Also, My dad had his tests today. The endoscopy showed the tumor is gone. The stomach lining is still a little thick, and there are a few small possible spots in the intestine, so they will still do radiation. But I am so, so relieved!

I just got back from camping for a week and there on my table was a package from Annt59. She made me a beautiful wall hanging, "Celebrate Quilting Friendships" - I do, thanks to this group - , some beautiful fabrics, a cutting blade, some Wonder Clips (my first - can't wait to try them out, as I have heard such great things about them), some needle tweezers, some quilting info and a patten, some great socks which of course come in handy this far north, and 2 frixion pens, which was what I had asked for. Thanks so much, Ann, I love everything!

Wow everyone is sending such great packages! Keep sending those thank you messages and be sure to send me one as well. I get great ideas of what to send from the pictures and the descriptions. Have been mia as I have had a lot of Dr appts lately and Marty has lymphedema and I am taking her to PT 3 times a week and doing the excises once a day for her, so pretty busy here. Went to a nutrition class on the bariatric surgery was there from 7:45am to 2pm then a Dr appt in Grinnell and then a 1 1/2 hr drive home. Tired

Lots of great packages. It is fun seeing the things coming and going. Often I don't have a particular thing I am looking for so I leave it open. I have read some of the posts about not knowing what to send when someone doesn't fill out a lot on their sheet. But some of the best things I have gotten are 1) an item someone loves so they sent me one and 2) something "local" [which I got the idea of asking for that from lauriejo] and that has so many interesting things coming my way too. So swappers if you feel you didn't get too much info from your swapee, just do one of these things.
So maybe later in the week when Lori has gotten a little rest she might give us a status report of how many peeps are still waiting for packages.
