Stitchers Garden
I finished my two August blocks for my Stitchers Garden BOM quilt. This is fun and I can't wait to see my finished project next May. 😄
Think I may actually try paper piecing for the WH swap.....wait....did I actually say that?!?! We will see!

Oh, Skaduzy, These are so charming. I saw the second picture first and my first thought was I want that one! Give us the Low down on this adorable project and keep sharing your blocks.
If you haven't done PPing, choose a simple pattern with only a few intersecting seams. It is so exciting when you turn a block over and see what you created.

While waiting for the swaps I am in to get to their finish dates I am working on a project that i came across in the September 2016 issue of American quilter. The name of the quilt is Square Dance by krystal Jakelwicz. It is a really cool variation of the wonderful churn and dash block. Her method is unique and the finished block ends up with a pinwheel in the center, all without making any HSTs.
I changed her pattern up a bit and turned it on point. I am loving it.

Ube, I love that block. I saw a block used in a tablerunner in the new Quilts and More Christmas magazine that I would like to use in a quilt. You are inspiring me!
Thanks SewingSew, This BOM I'm doing is really fun.

Hi Ladies - sorry I have been so silent. Still digging out from under - I just got 70 cheer bows completed for our squads and I started back up on the quilt I am entering in the Durham Fair. It started with such high hopes but I ran into major issues when I could not find a marking implement that would work on the metallic fabrics - and I now have to do FMQ freehand with no pattern. I HATE the way its coming out but I have to finish the danged thing! After the quilt is done and gone, I have to hem and alter two dresses for friends of mine who are in a wedding - and THEN I can start my WH! BUT I am completely out of ideas! I thought about using Rhonda's kaleidoscope piecing technique to perhaps do some peacocks (Kass would love that....) but I am afraid that if I do something without a pattern, it will end up hokey looking. Help! I will look at forum pics and scout the internet to see if something pops into my brain - I desperately need inspiration!
