I'm impressed what everyone can do on just a 4 x 6 inch space!

My card to lena was put in the mail yesterday.

Did everyone notice new signups for August are up?

Travelinggramma I'm glad you liked the card...the middle pair's fabric is what I used to make a pair of pants for myself last month.
I did not get your card before I left &
I will not be home til the 28th - do you want to post it now?
Miz Melly your card could be an illustration for a book on kimono sewing, that's what it reminds me of - very beautiful work!

Went swimming at Rockaway Beach...god bless the gulf stream, the Atlantic is so much warmer than the Pacific.

I just love paper piecing, so I try to look at holidays that I can translate into paper pieced blocks. I have ideas for August already!!

My partner and I have both received our postcards.

I sent this one to Lena1952 for Hammock Day (I used a scrap of batting for the leg)

I received this pretty Different Colored Eyes Day postcard from Lena1952

While reorganizing the house (so much reorganizing!) I found the little mini easels I bought on a vacation (for about $2 each). So I'm going to start displaying a few on my piano and then move them to a different display setup I'll make for my eventual sewing room (probably hang on a wire/twine with mini clothes pins).

The little easels make me think of little works of art, which they are!

They have some of the mini easels on amazon, but they might be cheaper at a local art store. I have a slightly larger one that one of the guys in my photography club made, they are fun

(Ignore the dust *sigh*. I had to move the easels into the light so I could photograph them.)

sleepy hollow - love your work of art display and the hammock is awesome .( liked the holiday but my mind was relaxing too much as I was thinking of swinging in one!!) I have seen those easels in Michaels also. I have been hanging mine (and even put pictures of ones I sent) into the plastic envelopes and temporarily taped to my "sewing area"
