Lynnie, the calf is 9 days old mama is a little over 2. She is huge and makes the calf look tiny. The calf is doing really well .We keep the cows for a few years and replace them as they start getting older. So we are keeping the calf. You can see her hips are full of muscle (steaks) already. Friday (blk calf) is only 3 months old and look how big she is next to her mama. These 2 cows each weigh about 1600 lbs each. They are big beef cows. We do artificial breeding so we can use bulls that are show bulls and worth a small fortune. Just before dark we had such a pretty sky last night all lavender and a full moon in the center of the picture . Hope ya all enjoy these pictures while waiting for more towels.

wow, so big already! love the white guy, is he a boy this time around? when you 'get rid of them', do you eat them? I imagine the bull sperm is pricey too. Being a show bull. The babies are very handsome looking so far. Mary, thank you for taking the time to show us your new members and the pretty sunset too.

How cute. Around here they don't get close enough for a picture. Don (husband) was brush hogging 2 days ago and a mama turkey jumped up in front of him. He stopped got off the tractor and seen where there was 8 eggs she had been on. This was maybe 200 yards from our house in the open field. Don hasn't gone back so she may or may not go back and set. Pat I think your clamatis are pretty. I have 3 vines that climb a trellis type thing also. Mine are a darker pinkish purple. and a redish pink dark one.
