My post office lady said that they got a memo or e-mail with a picture of a totally distorted flat rate envelope on it - and that it said that as long as the flap closes like it's supposed to and the seams aren't bursting, the clerks should accept it. And tape is okay to reinforce it. My post office wants its customers to supply their own tape, though!

My po said that I could tape every thing except the stamp. NO TAPE on the stamp.

Mine Too.. I tape my packages nearly to death and when ive got everything taped ill stick the stamp on OVER the tape... I can mail a football in the FRE, as long as the flap seals it ships- i never have, but some of my swappers can attest- sometimes it looks like thats whats inside .. My po always says - " If it fits it ships !!!! "
