Wow I can't believe its been a week and a half since I been here. I received an awesome package from Knitette, and with problems with my camera and sometimes my computer I wasn't sure I could get a pic but here they are one fabric was a beautiful panel of all things Scotish, a couple of fqs, owl potholder with tartan fabric, and the pattern, a historic key ring with charms of Scottish flag, thistle, & lion; some Scottish tassies, and some shortbread. A british Patchwork mag., some brochures from her area, Scottish recipes book, Scotland napkins, bookmark with tartan ribbon, tartan tissues, pencil decorated Scottish symbols, teas and coffee packets and a fabulous 2 page letter explaining the tartan patterns, her area, some history. It was like a little mini visit to Scotland. Thank you Knitette for a wonderful package. I love it! Walker shortbreads are my dh favorites so I shared them and the tatties with him, he does cook dinner most nights as he is retired and i work, and his comment when I was through exploring the package was where was his cookbook-I had to correct him-it is my cookbook but he can use it. (I do like to cook but usually on the weekends now that he can cover dinner). 1st is every thing and 2nd is the panel.

I received a lovely parcel from Ann yesterday aka annabekkett. I was so delighted as unfortunately my secret pal parcel for February must have got lost in the mail. I got the most beautiful Christmas panel and I can't wait to make a table runner or wall hanging - haven't decided yet. Also a lovely American Quilter book which we don't get here in Australia and it has some lovely ideas and patterns. Also a pack of 42 squares of Moda fabrics. Thank you so much Ann you made this little Aussie really happy.

I received a wonderful package from Maggy. Lots of homemade items, buttons, blue fabric, and the large zippered pouch was full of zippers. I love the towel apron and the pot holder. These will come in real handy since I do love to cook! Maggy got everything on my list plus some.

I received a package today. I have no idea who sent it. There was no return address on the outside of the package or a note on the inside.

Wonderful pkgs coming in all! The last 48 hrs have been hectic for us but all will be ok. Yesterday I took my fiancée to the VA hospital to have his knee reconstructive surgery today. He came out fine, a bit groggy and hungry but he's ok. I had to come home since I have to work, we are low on personnel, but its ok since I don't work on Mondays so I have some time off. He may be there for 4-5 days but either way I'll take the day off to pick him up and possibly another day off to be sure he's ok. His physical therapy starts tomorrow morning and I can only ask for your prayers and good thoughts that he is going to do ok. Thanks my qb family for taking the time to here me here.

I so enjoy looking at all the lovely packages every one gets. We have such an imaginative and generous bunch of swappers. That grey/red/white panel is especially pretty.

Sending prayers your way quiltnut, it is amazing how soon they start pt now.
