K.- I was wondering if a bound little quilt counts for a one block contest? I think the contest sounds like fun!

I am a fan of funky flowers, etc, and wonky. Every few years my quilting runs amuck...this is one that I framed and hangs above our couch using weird methods...can't wait to design something for May's swap!

Ok all, I am gonna give "crazy" a whirl. Like Little Roo, I am rather structured but willing try and push my boundaries a bit.

I'll make you structured people a deal - get unstructured for May and then you can put your heads together and pick the next oh-so-structured theme. Deal?

I'm finding that crazy quilts are "freeing", somehow. It seems chaotic when sewing the bits together, but it all comes together in the end, especially when fancy stitching and embellishments are added.

I love embellishments! If something doesn't look quite right, you can sew a piece of lace or a button over it, and the problem disappears! LOL!
Have a wonderful day! If you need to contact me, please use the e-mail address on my profile page. Sometimes I don't get notifications that I have a PM here. Please note that I'm usually unavailable on weekends, but I'll get back to you on Monday.

    I'm in! Sending a PM!

While all of you are planning a crazy, wonky or otherwise unusual Doll Quilt for May, I hope you'll also plan to make a little quilt for AAQI. Chele started this tradition, in May, in the anniversary month of the Doll Quilt Swap.

This year we're expanding the AAQI challenge to the whole QB. You can find the challenge thread here: AAQI Challenge.

I know that we'll have a great month!
Reading, cooking, sewing in retirement! Heaven!

Leslie, I'm working on something poetic and arty. It's going to take a couple of weeks, but I hope it will be something wonderful.

I thought this was going to be so easy. Yes, no rules. I definitely had to go to the crazy quilt book and read up on it again. I definitely did not have a good start. But, I think I conquered my problems. And I'm definitely getting crazy with my quilt and scrap bin. But, like you Krystyna, it is going to take me a few weeks to get the look I'm going for. But, It is fun.
