Pamela I am not sure if these boots have a particular name. I just call them high dress boots. They are very popular with the younger generations and for wearing in the colder months. I could never wear them and have never owed a pair. My instep is all wrong for them.

Betty, I have to ask at work. I hope somebody besides me remembers them. I just know there was a name for them. Oh, I have it -- go-go boots! Anybody else remember go-go boots? I thought the name sprang from that same era as the song, "These Boots Were Made for Walking," which is the song you mentioned first, Betty.

"Are you ready. boots? Start walkin'."
Yep Betty you got it - and yes go-go boots is how I know them too, same era, just love Nancy Sinatra.
(Remember "Sh-sh-sh-sh-sh-sh Sugar Town...")

a couple years ago I went to a barn sale. An old man had bought out a ten cent store in the 1960s. There were all kinds of things for a quarter. All new stuff... But setting on a shelf against the wall there was a whole row of go go boots all peeling apart all those years. I can't get that out of my head when I think of go go boots...
I have my card nearly done!
