thanks for words of encouragement for my son Ryan. All those that are unemployed, I feel badly for you. stood on that line way too many times.last hired first fired as the saying goes. Teachers on li make a bundle. My sister gets over 100.000. a year, that after getting tenure. if she coaches more. the benefits are out of this world too. it's unbelieveable here on the island. that's the big ticket job here. I guess when he gets out of school he hopes to make at least 15-16 and hour. everything here is ridiculous. the cheapest you can get a cellar apartment, studio is about $1,000.00/month. it's crazy here. I'm glad i'm disabled now and am not pounding the pavement, as they say. Mary, at first he want to be home at night no OTR for him. we'll see. Patches, wish your dh good luck from me.it's a cruel world out there.

I received my pincushion from Dee 7683 this evening. The pincushion is in the bottom of the draw string pouch. One picture shows the bottom if you were to turn the pouch over, one view is with the pc spread open looking into the pouch. She sent so very many goodies and I know I will enjoy them.
Thanks Dee
Thanks Dee

I certainly did! And, a totally awesome package it was. I stopped at the Post Office on my way home from guild to find a box waiting for me. It was practically bursting, it was so full. There was a lovely pink crocheted doily with variegated pansies (it brought back memories of my grandmother, thank you). A folded heart needle case which is going into my travelling embroidery kit and a matching pincushion -- such beautiful floral fabric adorned with yo-yo's -- I love yo-yo's. There was also a matching basket holding everything. Such a beautiful post card of Ohio (I miss Ohio somedays, well today.). A card of beautiful buttons for my collection. We definitely lack button selections like that here in Kentucky. A beautiful card with an Apple Fritter recipe on the back. Werther's Caramels -- my favorites. A pink and green butterfly note pad. The pincushion arrived with a lovely handmade pin in it and to my surprise, when I removed all the Werther's from the bottom of the box this morning, I found yet another pin with a flower and pearl on top. I have never been a girly girl -- but this package would certainly convert me.
I will take a photo later today as soon as I can clear a space in my sewing room to take it and make another attempt to post a photo. I will share my Werther's with my mother as I see her candy jar is empty. The rest of it will go into my sewing room candy jar.
Thanks again for my totally awesome package.
