Mary Quilting posted pictures of a sunny side up egg, chicken, and
    peacock pincushion.

That's right friends it was ME who got them!!!!

Just got home from running a few errands and I saw there was a
"parcel" box key in my mail box the key is for larger lockers when
the package won't fit in the mail box.

Mary sent me such a WONDERFUL little note in which she tells me
that she loved the story that I told of how I felt mom was probably
making my grandpa some of her fried chicken.

She proceeded to tell me of a story of her mom as a child that was
    about a chicken also.

So she made us BOTH a chicken pincushion to remember our moms
    when we look at them.

The sunny side up egg is just so adorable also.

Lets not forget about the peacock pincushion where under the top layer
of "tail feathers" is felt for a needle case. Just too darn cute and awesome!!!

THANK YOU Mary so much for all 3 pincushions and most of all for sharing the
story of your mom with me.

Please don't forget to PM me when you mail and when you receive.

Also, when you mail to your partner, make sure that you put the swap month on your envelope or your card. This is so that we can post to the right thread. We have had several posts that were posted to the wrong thread.

imagine my surprise when I finally looked in the may exchange and found out posting swaps was due today! i was working on the belief that it was the first of the month like the last one. dear swap partners, i am so sorry and please forgive me for being late. thinking i had two weeks, i was making my sister a birthday present first. wrong decision. i will try to work like a demon tomorrow, finish on sunday after church and mail on monday.

    Received today!!

Not next week but got both of mine today! They are awesome and love them both and in my favorite colors with turquoise and purple. Tilted ears sent me this little 3 stack beauty...going right by my sewing machine instead of my old crochet one. mary quilting sent me a little owl needle case, a fried egg, and this amazing peacock that is a pin cushion and needle case. Thank you ladies, I really love themName: DSCF1375.JPG

    Pincushion collection

I have made a mention before about my collection of pincushions.

So I have been trying to think of how I wanted to display them all
in a way that my fur kids can't get to them (they love to play with
all of them). Then I decided I would get a long cafe style curtain rod
    and the ring clips.

With my husbands help (he mounted the rod where I wanted because
I am to short to reach), I had decided that I was going to put them on
the edge of the ceiling where my living room wall vaults (hard for me to
    describe any better).

Here are some pictures of my collection. I think I have more buried in
my fabric room some where, but until I can finish getting it cleaned up
I have no clue where to start looking. So far though I have hung 22 up
    on my rod.

This is the full collection I have hanging.

The next few pictures are closer shots of them.

And before anyone should ask (if it has crossed their minds) the answer is NO
I don't have any favorites I love them all.

Louise, first of all...I'm so jealouse, I don't have half of what you have. I love everyone of yours. 2nd, what a fabulouse idea you have there to hang them. my furbaby zoey the all time high princess, and any other title she gives herself, thinks they're all mousies and her play toy...as if she doesn't have enough, she likes to swat mine and steel them. I have mine on a high shelf, about 6 feet off the floor, and yet she still gets them sometimes. You have a fab idea there. when i'm lucky enough to have as many as you do, I might just steel your idea.
thanks for a wonderful storage and show idea.

No worries on that I pretty much did the same thing last month for my
    needle case partner.

You did a great job just like everyone else has done great.

My daughter has asked me to make her a needle case so she can put it in
her bag that she takes to work with her. She makes yo-yos while she is on
break or there is a lull in her work.

I asked her why she didn't make her own, she said it was because 1) she isn't
that great with a sewing machine yet, 2) she likes the ones I make (I have only
made one so far), and 3) because I have the embroidery machine to which I can
    make it "fancier" for her.

My partners box is out for delivery right now (according to the email I got).

Truly hope she likes the pincushion box.

Both of my pincushions arrived today! I got a darling mousie from Pat625. She also sent some extra gifts; pins, a tape measure and pre-threaded needles. I love the little rosebud she put on the mousie's head.

Then from Old_Rosebud I received a flock of little birds with a FQ nest in a little wooden crate. Aren't they cute??

Pat the needle case you made is so pretty, and with lots of nice goodies to use. The mouse pin cushion you made is so cute too.

Old_Rosebud made some cute little birdies.

Quilty-Louise sent me this lovely pincushion on the top of a box. Inside the box, she made me a small emery pincushion. She filled it with lots of sewing goodies. All I have to do is add a thimble and thread and I'm ready to sew. Thank you for such a thoughtful and useful gift, Quilty-Louise. I love it.

    Laura (Blue Cat),

I am so happy that you liked the pincushion box. It was fun to make
and so much easier than I expected it to be.

Right now I am working on a second box, but can't say who it is for
    YET.

Here are some more pictures of the box that I sent to Blue Cat.
