rfbrazell was my March swap partner. He requested the Crown of Thorns block pattern at http://quilting.about.com/od/blockof...own_thorns.htm for a special Easter project he is doing for his church. There is a specific color scheme for this project.

With all that said Robert, I hope these two blocks fit your bill. And, they will be going out in Thursday's mail :-)

And although it doesn't show very well in the photo, there is a dark purple.

    best,

My camara has finally given up the ghost...so no pictures for awhile. ...Just wanted to let you know that I got a gorgeous Chistmas block from atpegsquiltstudio...my Feb partner, and another equally beautiful block from ssnare! Love them both and they were the last two I needed in this theme. I am now working on collecting red and purple blocks...as in The Red Hat Ladies! Should be fun!

Boy, this swap has proved to be such a challenge! My March partner wants an image of a sewing machine. I have found patterns: PP & applique, which I don't do a lot of. But, I will persue......

Once I get myself in gear, will have him do another embroidery for me on a jacket. I just have not gotten on the go with that yet. Trying to decide on what to make and how to make it. Roberto has great ideas since he used to design costumes and clothing for broadway.

Thank you Beth for you compliments. While I did costume design and construction for many years it was in California, But we did work for Broadway Road shows when they needed New replacements for alterations for new cast members. Broadway was a dream and in some ways it came true in away.
Beth you quilt will be loved by her family too.
    All the best

Okay, here are my February blocks since I joined at the last minute. They should all be received today. After seeing all the elaborate blocks, I see I am going to have to "up" my quilting skills. I have always created crazy quilts so blocks are a new concept but I am loving them. Now to work on my March quilt block with a "Spring" theme. I am going to try a pattern.Name: 887241_10200690549135110_273403568_o.jpg

HAV, I like that 1st one (pink & black) it looks like it's 3 dimensional, like it's folded over. Very cool!
