I wash all my fabrics, I don't want any surprises after my quilt is made!

I'm with CajunBear. I prewash everything. I have medical conditions that do not tolerate the chemicals put in fabrics for processing and shipping. Many others have problems also, I do not participate in swaps that do not allow prewashing. there have been many lengthy discussions on the QB regarding prewashing.

I also prewash everything, just due to the fact that then I know it is washed and ready to go. I did recently acquire a box of unwashed 10" squares and members on the board here suggested I soak them in hot water and use a salad spinner before sewing with them. You might be able to do something like that for your blocks, washing only what you will use.

Good Morning Everyone! A new Month! Can't wait to see what lovely blocks you all come up with! Still sitting at the back of the room here deciding when the best time is to join back into this swap. My concentration level is still pretty low and I hate to not finish what I start. Maybe in September my head will be out of this fog. Hope so! For now I am enjoying the view and all the pictures of your lovely blocks, please keep posting they bring sunshine to my day! Thanks!

Ohhhhhhhhhh it's a Great Day! Just read that those items that I have piled up at my house are not called UFO's. In fact I am just realizing how smart of a gal I am! They are called Phd's! You read that right! Phd's - Projects Half Done. I have ton's of Phd's around my house! LOL Love it! Can't wait to tell my middle son that he isn't the only one with a Doctorate!

I remember those days of not wanting my babies to grow up. They are now 28 & 25, and out on their own. Empty nest can be lonely but I am happy for the men they have become.

Alicia........enjoy them while you have them, times flies faster than we want.

It's on it's way. Maybe something you might do in the winter time....

That is the only clue you are going to get. LOL
But I know you like them.
