What is going on with the mail? I notice I am not the only one who sends out blocks in the U.S. and it takes weeks for them to arrive. I use the small manila envelopes for multi blocks. Is this a mistake?

I do know our mail use to be delivered at 10:30 in the morning...now it comes at 5:30 in the evening. Our mail carrier said they have to deliver 2 touted since the lay offs last month.
