MONTHLY QUILTING BEE BLOCK SWAP - Version II
Wow, Wow, Wow. Beth is right, so many people helped with this quilt. Ya'll made the blocks, Jean T from Oklahoma put the blocks together and Beth Longarmed it. What a community we have on the board.
Thank you all. Cathy is going to just love it.
Thanks all

Here is a shot of that poodle quilt that Robert is making for his lovely wife, Cathy. In the mail to ya boy. Hope ok I post the progress of it. Especially since there are quite a few people who have helped along the way. It is still heavy with the 9 oz batting so glad we stayed fluffy instead of heavy quilting. It may have felt like a ton weight otherwise.
I have completed Nattoddboyd's two blocks and package up for shipping. Will send them out this afternoon.
Can you believe I actually forgot to get a picture of them. I had them on the counter for dh to see when he got home this morning but never gave a thought to getting a photo. Boohoo. Guess it's up to Nattoddboyd.
Teaser - my swap partner requested either butterflies or Christmas blocks. I went with two for Christmas - a star and a log cabin.
best,
d

It was fun to see how one set applique pattern was interpreted so differently. I think one of my favorites was a polka dot poddle who had hearts put on the block. It looked like it was doing a circus trick. Then there was this one that was so elegant, crisp and clean, you just did not mess with her world. the back looks fun. I did nto photo that part, I outlined every one of those poodles so they would show on the back of the quilt. It was put together very accurately with no extra waves and such so was not hard to quilt. Put heart feathers (looking more like hearts) on the borders for the love we all have for each other. Well, onto the next set of fun.
I will be when Dolly gets home.
So who ever is my june partner, please be patient I will make you a beautiful block or two. Just waiting for my machine to get home from the service center.
All the best
Roberto
