I was at the Dr. on Thursday (bronchitis) and he said many people are starting with the flu and it's ending up in the lungs. I skipped the flu and went right for the good stuff. :)

I've had bronchitis and pneumonia many times so I know when I need help. This was one of those times. Day 4 of meds today- I'm still very tired and nap alot. I'm so far behind n everything, but I really don't care- i want to get better on 1 set of meds.

Oh- I'm on the way out the door for a new machine. Had problems with my embroidery machine- it came damaged and is unusable until I can get it serviced (1 1/2 hrs. away). I need a machine with some fancy stitches and decided to get something I can depend on. I have been given machines but they all have issues- tension problems and only 1 has fancy stitches. So a new machine is needed to cure my issues for many years to come.

congrats on the new toys I'm reading about! How fun!

My fabric is still sitting there, calling to me to get going. However, I'm off for a spa day with a girlfriend! My DH got me a gift certificate last Valentine's Day and I'm finally going to use it! We will be there for about 4 hours, so I know I'm going to come home like jelly!!

perhaps this week I will be able to get going.

:)

enjoy the spa day and don't worry about the blocks there's plenty of time to work on them - they aren't due until the new year.

you just want to have them done before the cyber block party

well since star snagged the one I was hoping for, Ill go right for D-8 and will have to pick a 3rd to round it out if I want. which i think i do.

any suggestions? I dont know how to paper piece and probably shouldnt learn on a swap, so rotary cut would be best. other than that I have no idea.

Moderator's note: Dear Jane is a registered trademark. DJ BOM programs available commercially through quilt shops all require purchase of the book. They have all taken the additional step of getting permission from the author/publisher. We can neither authorize, encourage nor condone sharing copies of the pattern. Participants in the swap must be required to buy the book, the software, or both.

for another block if you want, there's E10. its a 4 patch with 2 melon appliques a fairly basic block.

Oh suzic, I'm excited that you are feeling better! Its been a long haul for you. You still have plenty of time for the blocks...getting better is far more important!
