below is bright 5 inch square and then my black/white print 5 inch square. It's a pretty block but I sure don't want to send four sets if I am doing it wrong.
Good morning, Audrey -

Here is the picture I was trying to send you yesterday as an example. Hope it helps. To be sure, this is for the DECEMBER swap and while you're certainly welcome to post here, this is the NOVEMBER 30's swap. Same block, different theme.

Audrey -

I whipped up an example. Hopefully it will help. Mind you, I've only had one cup of coffee and I didn't actually finish sewing the entire block together but placed it so you could see:

Jane, Thank you for the photo samples. I was a little confused at first but I got it now.

Jane, you better look at your example again. Think you turned a little to much......

Ok, just a general question from a first time block swapper... lol.
As we are collecting all these differently themed blocks, will most of you use them in one quilt or make something from each separate theme?

Linda, I plan to make a quilt with the blocks from this 30s theme swap. I bought more 30s type fabric so I could make more blocks for myself--- to have more than only the ones I'll get from this swap. Since it's only 8" finished, I'll need a lot more blocks than the sets from one swap! If you want to mix themes and use different themed blocks together in one projects you can. One of the beauties of quilting is there aren't rules and you can create your projects however you want. :-)

You are certainly welcome to do whatever you like. Some swappers are focusing on one particular theme and making more blocks in that theme to make a larger quilt. Let's see what you come up with!
