Aurora we'd love to see pics of your table topper and any other finished quilts if you like. Sharing what you are working on doesn't have to be limited to the wall hanging.

I have to get all my excitement out in the next two days. Monday is my surgery day and I will be a bit off my game for a few days after that. Packing as much sewing as I can in the few hours I have until then.

Help! On Rhondas last swap, someone posted a pattern for a t shirt quilt and it may have been from Nancy Zieman? Anyone remember? It was a large focal square, offset, with what looked like a frame on 3 sides. I thought I had it but no luck....

Earlier I mentioned I would post pictures of the difference in my hand sewing, before and after I changed the needle and thread I was using when I started this project. I am pleased with my improvement.

    Before

    After

Here is my set up for working on my hexies. I use a wooden tray and can carry it all over the house to sit and work in any sunny window. A pile of fabric scraps, glue and papers inside the fabric box, my thread and needle in a great little pin cushion and my wooden seam ripper. A wonderful portable studio.

Holy cow those are tiny pieces! And I thought 1.5" squares were small!

I thought they were small too, until I saw Anokas' wall hanging, post #55. Her whole quilt is 17 1/2" across I figure the hexies to be about 1/2"or 5/8". Amazing work she did!

I started my WH! Even though it will be after Valentine's Day it will still have reds and pinks in it. It wont be themey though. I like the pattern I picked.
