There are three quilts in the working stages right now. The poppies, the scrappy stars and the wall hanging. My vacation is the week of Thanksgiving so I will get a lot of work done then. I'm ready!

Kass whats a POD quilt along? My friend found the bookcase on Pinterest. I had to estimate and draft the pattern.

Oh that is hilarious. My friend likes to browse Pinterest and loves quilts although she never learned how to sew. I think I have to draw the cats by hand since I need them in the right position, and I will need to do a LOT of embellishment to get the strips to look like books. I noticed in the picture that the artist used selvages on some of the books - it is a good idea.

Stopped by my favorite 2nd hand antique shop and found this beauty. This is pressed glass and the pattern is strawberries, a new one to me, so I had to have it for a few $s. She is 5.5" tall and 9" across. I would love to find more of this pattern.

It would also make a great quilting pattern on whole cloth, imho.
