I had a thought yesterday. What with how busy holidays get and all, maybe we could give Brenda a Holiday gift of time. Maybe we could skip Nov-Dec from the FQ swap and have it start up again in Jan. when we need a little something to keep from getting those post holiday blues.
So what do those who post here think?

Guess that's up to Brenda starshine. I would really like to trade in advance next year, example of Valentines fabric that we would receive by the 15th or so of January. Then you have time to get it and to make something from it to celebrate the day. But that is just me, don't know how others feel or how Brenda feels about it either. Just doesn't give too much time to make something if you want to when you get it 2 - 4 days before hand or if your trading partner is late sending. Last year I didn't have time to make anything and really still have the FQ's from last year. Just a thought and only my opinion.

I am "down" for whatever Brenda wants, and the consensus of everyone. That is a great idea though, Starshine! If Brenda wants to take the month off, those who want to swap can do a side swap or 2.. just a thought from me..
When I am starting a new project, I usually go to my fabric room and just go from there. The way I am, even if it was a month in advance, I doubt I would make something from the fqs I received that quickly. I really admire you gals (and guys) that are so disciplined!
    Take care all,
    Kif

BUT I LiKE SWAPPING HERE! I think she said she was doing one the middle of this month and we will see what she would like to do. Personally I am all for continuing. Just not complaining to her if your partner doesn't swap.. and maybe just maybe if we become partners not secret partners its up to us to make sure we talk to each other, and that we know that the other person is going to ship to us.. let each other know when we ship. and well if the partner doesn't swap its not something we can come back and grip to Brenda about. Its between us so to speak. Yeah you all like the secret part but truly you don't have a clue what the person who is sending to you is going to send anyways so why keep the name secret? .. and it relieves the hostess of a whole lot of work as the middle man. I know I have a swap and its a lot of work trying to get everyone happy. I would love holiday things earlier than needed. I am slower than molasses and a lead time on making projects for say Valentines day or Easter or Fourth of July is always helpful. oh heck with it, I just love fabric. I said it. Its an addiction I have no intention of kicking.
