My condolences Jan, and you're so right, day by day...
JuneBillie, hope things get better with your dad. I know it can be rough with an aging parent. Especially since I'm aging too. But I sure can't imagine my life without my Momma. I miss my sweet dad like crazy, and it's been 12+ yrs..
I forgot about Columbus Day, so Tuesday it is..

Sneak peek!! Still need to put binding on and some more embellishments, but I too will be ready to mail on Tuesday. Darn, forgot about Columbus Day since our college district doesn't recognize it. (has something to do with Columbus not really discovering America......)

My husband went to the post office for me today, and brought back my package from Jaba. The mini is beautiful. She used her double diamond ruler to experiment, and it created this very nice lattice looking detail on the sides. I also keep wanting to run my fingers over it. I really love all the fall pumpkins, and little gourds. The quilting is so nice with the hanging pocket on the back. She also included a pretty and always needed note pad with pen. I also have a very nice card from Jaba, and I wish I had some of those pretty labels like the one that's on the back of my mini.

Susan, that is a gorgeous mini quilt that Jaba made for you! I have seen that detail that she did on the sides in another picture somewhere and I have yet to figure out the process. I just can't wrap my brain around how it can possibly be done.
