    "Thanks for looking - Katie"

Very nice blocks. My favorite is your "Nine in Four". Love that dark blue fabric with the white - is it flowers or maybe snowflakes? Very pretty.

Everyone - Thank you for your kind comments I tried "thinking outside the box" when I grabbed the dark blue fabric "thinking" it could perhaps be the end result of fire crackers exploding in the night sky (???) Anyway, I have really enjoyed going through my stash and trying to blend with the Americana print and the other American flag print . If time permits, I have another larger print that has "stars & stripes" that I also want to make up.

Libster - Duhhh . . . I misread your description - the "dots" are actually dots (like the dust particals traveling through the sunlight in my living room ). The first description was for the other block

    WOW!

I finally took a bit of time to go through all the pics and posts and all I can say is WOW! The blocks look great; I have one more set to make and then mine will go in the mail. The hardest part will be waiting until the end of May to get a package filled with sampler goodness!

does the white have to be white white, i went to the LQS and picked up some fabric but it is more cream/tan but it goes with my red and blue...it was in the 4th of July section.

For this swap, it is whites, white-on-whites, and white prints. To help keep some cohesiveness to all of the blocks.

I found this great fabric at Joanns on the red tag clearance shelves. It has pictures of the U.S. Cavalry doing their job! I knew I could made a great block out of it....just add strips like a log cabin!

BTW Did you know the U.S. Army still has the Cavalry??? They no longer ride the horses, but they do ride and fix tanks and helicopters!
