No worries, we all start somewhere, This is as good a place as anywhere, QB good a place as any :-D
  no one told me we had to clean out the room before we started :-D LOL :)

roda 12-26-2010 07:55 PM

This is about the fifth time I've redone it in the last 2 months cannt get it so I feel comfortable in it dh says it could be because I got to much stuff

C.Cal Quilt Girl 12-26-2010 08:03 PM

I Don't think there can be too much ;) LOL Just a room thats not big enough, let him know you need bedrisers for extra space batting, backing, books, bits and pieces.
OK I'll hush or he may not want you to come and play :)

seymoore 12-26-2010 09:11 PM

I am organizing my room tomorrow so I can start on my row too. Feel the need to get my ducks in order! LOL :-)

Ann L 12-27-2010 05:40 AM

Hi everyone. I am a little slow at all this. Now I know where to find everyone. I am excited to work with all of you and getting to know you. Ann

Ann L 12-27-2010 07:32 PM

Okay, I worked till 630 today, came home and now my blocks are cut out and I cleaned up my sewing area, ready to get sewing, probably not till Wed, but it will be here before I know it.

roda 12-27-2010 09:46 PM

OK first question does it matter how the row is put together as long as it 12 1/2 by 60 1/2

Ann L 12-28-2010 07:32 AM

I don't think so. You can go from top to bottom or side to side. If you want your row in the middle you could ask for that as well. I think anything goes as long as the measurements are the same,

C.Cal Quilt Girl 12-28-2010 05:12 PM

Don't see why can't be your choice, just give us a reminder. If possible tucked with your label so we remember.

seymoore 12-28-2010 06:07 PM

I have been scouring the internet for a forget-me-not flower pattern. I found one applique pattern that will work, but am really wanting a pieced block.

Ann L 12-28-2010 06:53 PM

If you find one let us all know. We will be looking ourselves. This will be fun. Mine doesn't need to be in flannels and if you want to recycle material all the better. I am all for going green.

roda 12-28-2010 07:06 PM

I think I have and applique one and a paper peice one

Ann L 12-28-2010 07:26 PM

be sure and point us in the right direction.

C.Cal Quilt Girl 12-28-2010 07:46 PM

Now I'm wondering LOL... let me double check with you, I'm thinking a forget me not is a 4 petal flower ??

seymoore 12-28-2010 08:30 PM

Yes, 4 petals blue with yellow in center.

roda 12-28-2010 09:30 PM

I thought they are 5 petals with a little heart shape edge on the petals.

Ann L 12-29-2010 05:37 AM

I guess this will require a bit of research :)

Those are Adorable, Looked them up last night, didn't notice any thing other than blue color, I just put a 5 petal artifical flower and expanded and printed will adjust, because are different, But I think it will work!! Will try when it's time :)

roda 12-29-2010 01:02 PM

I took and just enlarged this picture and thinking about applique it in different shades of blue maybe, possiblable, gosh who knows. Guess I need to finnish my own and quit thinking about everyone elses right now

Good to look ahead :) get the creative part of your head started :) , you know, one day will wake up with the anwser:)

Ann L 12-29-2010 03:37 PM

Love the flowers. at least now I have a real idea of what they look like. Just about have my row done and hope to post a picture once I finish.

seymoore 12-29-2010 07:34 PM

I never thought about enlarging the photo! Great idea! It will be easier to get a template from. And oh, I don't expect all of you to do this flower on my RR - I was just looking for a template so I can do my rows that way. However, if some of you did also do the flower for my RR - that would be awesome! Anxious to get started! Can't wait to see what everyone else's is going to look like too!

Okay I think I have my row completed. I couldn't find a 12 inch bear paw block so I altered the one I had. I am thinking I need to add something t divide the bear paws on the red block. It might be a little off here and there but it is pretty much the correct size I hope none of you are the quilt police, if you are I will be in trouble. Just a reminder that I am a recreational quilter so it is far from perfect. As you might be able to see my iron ate one of bear's paws so I have a lame bear now, but that is okay with me. Can't wait to see others.hope the pictures comes out.

seymoore 12-30-2010 05:02 PM

Ann, your row is beautiful! That would look so good added to my row, with the Alaska theme. LOL. Seriously, I love it - looking forward to the final project! This is going to be fun!

Ann L 12-30-2010 05:07 PM

Yes I was thinking the same thing. Anything to do with nature, outdoors goes for mine. I am excited about this myself. Should be fun.

Ann L 01-01-2011 05:50 AM

Happy New year to everyone. I have been working this weekend and the days aren't all that busy so I have been able to do a little research for each of your quilt rows. I have come up with some great ideas, now I just need to wait and see what has been done to them by the time I get them.

katinkaB 01-02-2011 02:52 PM

Hi, Everyone! and Happy New Year!!

So excited to join you all on this project!!

Ann, I love your row! Lame bear - LOL. It'll take me a little more thinking and hemming and hawing to make up my mind :)

Kudos to you organizers of sewing rooms! Unfortunately I can't risk that, because I'd not be sending anything until 2012 :)

Let the fun begin!
Manuela

katinkaB 01-02-2011 02:59 PM

Ok, so I just looked at everyone's profile to see what you all like, quiltingwise, and you know what I noticed???

We all celebrate (or maybe mourn??) our birthday in September! How cool is that?

How cool is that, all having BD's in September? By that time we might have to not only celebrate our BD's but getting our tops back. Can't wait to see some of your rows!

Just being nosey from Gp 2, love this row, and was thinking, if you want to divide up the red bears paws , a little lead work ie. bias binding over seams would break it up, especially if you could get something similar in color to the bears.
I also like the fact you're leaving the lame bear in, gives him/her some personality.
