Thank you! Yes, 14 X 18. I think I will give the big ones first, then the minis later. I will give them for the stuffed creatures. I will back the kids quilts with flannel. Blessings.

Guess what she's getting in her stocking this year. Thanks for sharing.

HI Missi, did you get my pm to sign me up for 15 sets?

Thanks, turtlerouge

thelondonzoo 09-25-2010 05:47 PM

Hi everyone, I just mailed 11 sets of 50 squares. I'm very excited to see what I get back. :D I'm planning on making a crib quilt for my nursery. Think baby-making thoughts when you send your squares so I can get pregnant! lol

jayelee 09-26-2010 08:36 AM

okay My squares are ready to mail tomorrow just need an address

SewExtremeSeams 09-26-2010 06:42 PM

I'm for sure! Loved the last one. Should be fun. Thanks for being willing to head this up again. You are brave, girl!

PS: I will PM you.

ok, I know this may sound a little dense for you guys, but if you do more than one set.... does each set have to be different or can they be made with the same fabrics?

Not dense... but yes, each set can have one of each of the same colors in the other sets. When I did it last time I would cut about 15 1.5 inch squares of one fabric at a time (we were only doing 10 sets then) and then tape one square to my wall and put the others in individual piles. I repeated this with each of 49 other fabrics. The wall squares were my reference so I would know if I already had done that fabric... just in case in a few days my memory failed (happens occasionally!). Then I packed each pile into a little sandwich ziplock and attached my handle and my real name on the outside of the bag and sent them on their merry way. The extra 4 piles were for my added pleasure. I sent the wall pile to Missi for all of her hard work. :-D :-D :-D Hope this helps.

brookemarie19 09-28-2010 11:35 AM

Thank you that was very helpful. Another question before I dive in....is novelty fabric ok? As long as the print is small enough

KarenBarnes 09-28-2010 01:01 PM

Novelty works for me!

The more pattern/texture/color the better when the patch is this small.....in the last swap I received a patch with a small monkey holding a banana....too cute...so far it is my favorite and it will be going into a quilt just for me.....I have to smile every time I see it....

STAR 09-28-2010 01:59 PM

I have a posting on 200 1.5 " squares doll swap quilt Search for it--sorry I don't know how to copy and paste on my son's laptop. LOL, just an comp illiterate Gram here! I am making a nine patch charm quilt out of my squares. I started it 2 swaps ago and keep adding 9 patches as I get more squares. At some point I am going to have to stop!

Here is your link to your posting. What I did was go up to the top of the page, hit 'search' and then type in "200 1.5" squares doll swap quilt" and hit enter on my computer. A list of topics came up and yours happen to be the top topic.
