I have a posting on 200 1.5 " squares doll swap quilt Search for it--sorry I don't know how to copy and paste on my son's laptop. LOL, just an comp illiterate Gram here! I am making a nine patch charm quilt out of my squares. I started it 2 swaps ago and keep adding 9 patches as I get more squares. At some point I am going to have to stop!

Here is your link to your posting. What I did was go up to the top of the page, hit 'search' and then type in "200 1.5" squares doll swap quilt" and hit enter on my computer. A list of topics came up and yours happen to be the top topic.

Thanks--have a mouse now and can do the copy/paste.

Can someone PM us Missi's address, or should we wait until she contacts us?

thelondonzoo 10-16-2010 09:01 PM

LovinMySoldier 10-16-2010 10:19 PM

what is the best way to do a sase? Do I just ask the post office to put X amount of postage on the envelope?

Put everything (plus your self addressed, return envelope) in your envelope and have the p.o. weight to see how much it costs for you to send it. Take out your return envelope and have the p.o. put that amount of postage on the return, place back into the "going out" env, seal, and off it goes!

Make sure you use stamps and not one of those postal metered ones.

Missi 10-18-2010 06:27 AM

Hey all - sorry I have been MIA. My grandpa passed away Saturday morning and it has been chaos for about the last week since he fell ill. Planning the funeral and then a month ago I was selected for a quilt workshop with Debbie Caffrey that was on Sunday. Lets say it was hard to wrap my brain around half square triangles and do the math in my head for her power cutting method. Which is awesome!

Whomever sent my address to those who needed it - thanks! I don't want to post my address on the board. Also thanks for answering questions about mailing the sets, postage, etc.

I gotta go the post office!

thelondonzoo 10-18-2010 07:37 AM

I'm sorry for your loss, Missi. *hugs*

SewExtremeSeams 10-18-2010 08:08 AM

So very sorry about the loss of your Grandpa. Grandpas are so special. God bless you. :-D

montanablu 10-18-2010 08:14 AM

Missi, sorry you've had such a rough time lately. Grandpas ARE special, I know I miss mine terribly.
We all helped take care of one anothers' questions & concerns -that's what makes the board so special. People here really do care for each other :)

Twisted Quilter 10-22-2010 07:25 AM

Going in the mail today...Whew!

Missi 10-22-2010 01:39 PM

Everyone - thank you so much for your hugs, prayers and kind thoughts. Hopefully after this weekend I can get some quality me time with my sewing machine. I need therapy.

I had 6 packages at the post office today - granted I hadn't been there for a week :)

Judy Smith - what is your board name - thanks

neece 10-23-2010 12:46 PM

Do the fabrics need to be washed? I'm working on it so hopefully I can send 2 bags. Thanks

pattis47 10-24-2010 05:57 AM

I just can hardly wait to receive my package from Missi. Spending weekend with family out of town. Just logged on before going to Church. Here's hoping we have 100 swappers signed up. Imagine how happy Missi will be to get all those squishies.

mbogenpohl 10-27-2010 05:23 PM

I will be dropping out of swap. I hope everyone has fun!

Sorry you have to drop out. I know how it goes though. As someone told me, "Life gets in the way sometimes."

Bless you. Hope you join the next one. :-D

bstock 10-30-2010 12:25 PM

I mailed my 15 sets yesterday!!

seymoore 10-31-2010 01:29 AM

I sent a PM to Missi. Would like to trade 2 sets. Can't wait!!

mrspete 10-31-2010 10:33 AM

my sets have been ready for so long I can't remember how many there are.

Missi 10-31-2010 04:50 PM

OK - I think I have all of my PMs answered and got everyone added to the swap board that wanted in. There are still 15 days to sign up! Now I just have to go to the post office tomorrow. I haven't gone since last week the postman probably isn't happy with me :) I might be getting a call that happened last time :)

Happy cutting and thank you everyone for being so patient with me in getting back to you. Life has just been CRAZY, maybe November will be better!

STAR 11-01-2010 03:44 PM

neece 11-02-2010 01:39 PM
