Elisabrat has been after me to do this and telling me how much fun it is! The quilt she received last year was fabulous for sure. If we can use some UFO blocks it sure would give me incentive to get them put together. I have lots of extra's from swaps in fall, crazy log cabins in fall, batiks, and Christmas. If anyone is interested in those then I'm in. Will send info and see if there is a partner out there.

I'm excited about making another quilter a quilt, don't know if excited is the word:eek: but I will try and make one that you want to receive. If I can use the UFO's that's great, we'll see what my partner wants.

I was thinking, if this is suppose to be fun, why would I want to know what my partner is making. Would it be to "try" to please me? Well, I don't have lots of ufo's, I don't have lots of scraps, nor a large stash of fabric. I think if someone is thinking they don't have the time or money to do this swap, then you are wrong. IMHO. You and your partner can tell each other, just make whatever and surprise me. It's gonna be loved anyway right? So come one ladies, I'm ready to get started, so please consider joining us, we only need a few more to get started. As I stated earlier, I don't want to know. It can be scraps, ufo's, whatever, as long as it's from the heart.

Well come people are more modern in style Gannierose and some are more traditional, some are hoping for something maybe for a grandchild or for a room only done in red and white .. you just don't know and personally while I want to use my ufo's I hope they fit in with someones wishful desires. It makes it more fun for me. Last time I made a bright teals, purples and aqua's and it was much brighter than I would make for me usually but I was in the range of jewel tones my partner wanted. Ended up having so much fun making it and well it was good. I just promised myself to use my ufo's this year and with 8 of them I think I can maybe make someone pretty happy :) Jan I know you will put something beautiful together. I love scrappy if its controlled in colors. I know all about budgets and limited supplies also. I have a non budget budget meaning there isn't enough to count as a budget. but with such a long time to pull this all together it can be done :) I can not wait to find out who my partner is and to get sewing on something that will bring a smile to someone elses face :)

21 people so far is great start. This is going to be fun. I know I'm pretty much open to anything my partner wants to make for me and it'll be fun to see who my partner will be and what they want for a quilt. It'll be a fun challenge to come up with something that makes them happy.

I am so excited for this swap I wish I knew who I was getting just so I could get started. Looking forward to chatting and seeing different styles.

10 days to go to get partners name. i could have a top on the frame by then. but that means it may not be in style or color to suit partners wishes so am working on some scraps i rec'd in mail from another QB member. they are working up nicely into a baby quilt that i hope will please another QB member.

Brat, what type of styles of fabrics do you like? Are there certain colors you love and others you dislike? I'm just curious

Nexxus tough question! love fabric number 1. Love fabric with metallic in it? my dear twinriverfarm last year used her treasured set of Robert kaufman fabrics that had warm fall colors and metallic scrolls through it. Swoon! love that quilt to pieces. It fits really well in my home too. I have trouble with batiks in my house they don't seem to work well with my furniture. love cowboy stuff as in horses/cowboys not football cowboys lol. I am sure whomever is my partner we will figure out something they have they can use that will be perfect. I plan on showing my partner the many choices I have and letting them pick amongst them. I can't wait for this fun to start.. tick tock tick tock.. hurry up clock!

Just cause I only posted a couple of times I got missed? Goodness me, I am not on the list and I said I would join in. Well, now I finally sent in my info that she wanted. So I suppose I will be added finally. I will not be posting much for another week because of work, year end payroll info has to be done. I am requesting an applique quilt type. These are not my specialty but I so love them. I will do for you a bargello quilt, or scrap quilt, or ufo quilt, or if you want a wholecloth quilt since I love to do the quilting part. Just so ya know what you may get from me and what I want.

If that is a sample of your work, that is some good stuff mumukate. Looks like you take care in what you do. This is not a race so taking the time to do it right is what matters. I like your work. Great colors as well. Think you would do just wonderful here.
