Bug- Love the extra purple!

I received Bug's center yesterday - looking forward to working on it this weekend.
I already picked out something I want to consider using, so I'll have to lay out the center and see if it will work, and then pick fabrics. It's really going to be fun adding to this center. |
Love what you've added to Carrie's quilt, Bug! That quilt is blooming nicely.

Thanks. I was a bit skiddish to begin sewing on someone's creation but once I got going it was fun!
Macybaby, glad it arrived. I am so excited to see what you add. Sewbizgirl, as this is my first RR, I am not sure how the rotation works for subsequent rounds. Do we just move down the list? I was wondering so I could start looking for fabric and pattern possibilities. |
Hi there Bugaroo! Each month you mail to the same person in your lineup, and yes, there is nothing wrong with planning out your row if you get a photo of the project that the person who is mailing to you, posts on the thread ;-) Sure beats laying out the project and stewing over it for a week or two. Hugs!! Rebaquilts

That's right Bug... you will always mail the quilt that you have to the next person on the list below your name. But... it will always be a different quilt, so it works! This is a brand new experience for me, too.
There seems to be some confusion about the flat rate padded mailers. The post offices don't have them, you have to order online from USPS.com. Here is the link, it's the last product on the page at the bottom. They are free and so is the shipping to get them to you. They come in packages of 10 or 15, so be careful what you order. If you order quantity 10, you'll get 10 packages, or 100 or 50 envelopes. These arrive pretty quickly. Here's the link to the page to order. It's at the very bottom of the page for shipping supplies. You may have to make an account before you can use the link. https://store.usps.com/store/results...questid=439437 |
For some good Round Robin inspiration, here are some RR quilts from online:

Hey Bugaroo, I admit to planning/hoping ahead. Doesn't always work so well in case someone gets the project and your idea first, but that's one of the risks I take by pulling fabric now. BTW, this is also my first round robin although I've participated in block and other exchanges as well as fabric. The mailing to the same person does make things easier on the memory.
I have some ideas I wanted to use in advance, depending on the projects I receive. Turns out I didn't use any of my preconceptions on my first round because I was just captivated by the fabrics Reba included and they just sent me in multiple new directions. The idea I have for my upcoming round is not one I had in advance either. Maybe eventually I'll be able to do something pre-planned/I had in mind. I want to do a mix of things, both very "me" and because they aren't so much me -- but I'm being inspired by what you all do. |

I've been trying to find photos of my previous RR qullts but no luck so far. I'll have to contact the people I gave them to, maybe they can send me photos.
