Sis, I wanna see your furniture. I seen many pictures of campers on the internet. Pictures for pot holders. clipart etc. I just made the basic shape and added the strip of fabric around it . Oh I made the door and windows before adding the joining strip. Then I just added the tires little curtains and all. That is a knob pot holder. It is handy and simple. Takes about 7 or 8 minutes to make one. Yes Karen always does such a wonderful job on the collage . I like looking back at the past pin cushions. This way they are all right there together. I sent her a little surprise this week as she works very hard on here for us. Maybe she will post a picture. Have a good evening everyone.

mary that camper pincushion is adorable!!! Lots a thought went into that. We just traded work for a 1979 Casita . It's so darn cute. And we've used it several times. So I love anything casita shaped . It's really popular now. .

Lots a a really good PC coming in. Klaws , Do we have a theme yet for Sept , October and Nov. ? I'm finishing my Halloween wall hanging ( actually big enough to be a throw ) so in the fall Halloween mode!

I think I found my sanity again! Company of 4 left today, they were enjoyable but not quite the same as family. A friend of one of my sons and his wife and a couple they were vacationing with. Had only met the two before so I must admit I was a little stressed.....When my own kids are here....I just say Mom needs a time out...:)

We stared getting a few tomatoes from our garden this week. They are really huge!!!!!!! Just 1 is a truck load. LOL Just kidding. They are nice and big though. I put a banana and a avocado by them for sizing purposes. They really are so tasty. Wish I could send ya all some. 1 slice covers a burger bun. A large bun. Sis I know you love tomato sandwhiches. ;) Have a good evening.

Mary, I love your sense of humor! We just got a few cherry tomatoes from our garden & a couple of normal sized tomatoes, but that's it so far. A couple of weekends ago I came home to find two fine-looking eggplants on the counter. I said to my husband, did those come from our garden? And he replied, of course not!

Sorry I haven't been posting the last few days. I did a really dumb thing on Wednesday. I burned my hand on the stove electric burner not realizing that it was hot. I wasn't the one who turned it on. :mad: Anyway, it feels a lot better so I'm slowly getting back to normal. I have a picture to post later and also tell you my idea for the Sept. theme.

Sis I'll take the truckload, would give you a 5 spot for a good tomato ( anyone know what a 5 spot is??? think you need to be a gambler or a northerner) $5 Gail got her call Thursday for her apartment so maybe next month will get one, sure would love to hear, she won't move till October though... Mary you sure have some great looking tomatoes. I have had about 10 pear tomatoes and it doesn't look like anymore are coming. I just bought some Early Girl's today at a farm stand where you weigh and pay and no one is around. They were $1.50/lb but garden tomatoes are the best.

Rosemary you picked out some really nice furniture. I bet you can't wait to get into your apt.

It's 82 now going up to 85 but 90 tomorrow. Of course I did yard sales today but it didn't seem that hot. I really need some rain as lawns are really getting brown.

Thanks for the comments on my furniture, I love it too and as for the table topper, no I didn't make it, I got it as a gift in a swap, just love it.. Table too, have another for my sewing room, they are so portable... Sis yes Auntie Gail already was called about her apartment on Thursday so she will be there before me...

Mary here is a camper that I started a year ago. I did have a pattern and there must have been a mistake as it is too puckered. I didn't finish this one or start another one. Yours was so cute. I got this kids quilt at a yard sale. It was just so right as I collect Raggedy Ann's and Andys.

Lois is that the swap that cuppy received? What is the triangle thingie with the beaded tail? The picture is upside down and I can't figure it out. What a nice pincushion for couch sewing. Sis made me a similar one and I love it. I used to just poke my needles into the arm of the chair. Usually forgot they were there and poked myself with them later. Nice swap and bright summery colors. Look at all the wonderful m & m's yummy.

The camper is 4 x 6 but the puckers ruin it. I do hand sewing in bed so you know where the pins end up.

A few days ago I received a surprise package from Mary. It was a "thank you" for hosting this swap. Mary, I just love the little coin purse and will definitely use the foot peddle mat. She also included a really nice card. Sorry, it isn't in the picture. Thank you so much for thinking of me. Here is a picture of what she sent.

September's theme will also be a challenge. The theme is "Colors of the Rainbow". The challenge will be to see how many colors you can incorporate in your pc and nc. The official colors of the rainbow are: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, and Violet. So, for those of you who want to start early, here you go! :D

Oh my Karen your giving us a good challenge.Hope your doing better today. Pat I use to fold my laundry on the bed and do any mending there. It was handy since it was a big area in a small duplex when my kids were little. Anyway it was the 1070's remember then???? Yeah. remember waterbeds???? yeah you can imagine what happened. That's when I started using the couch Pamela.Your sure welcome Karen. You were my guinea pig for the coin purse and peddle mat.

Sis that coin purse and peddle mat are really neat, what did you use for under the peddle, mine always goes right to the wall... I haven't seen anything with RaggedyAnn and Andy is umpteen years.

Sis the peddle pad is just that rubbery shelf lining you can get a roll of for $1 at the dollar tree. Use 2 layers and put bias ( or any fabric) around it and attach a little pillow like thing at the top as a stopper. Be sure to put a piece of paper under the rubber part or it will not slide under the needle while sewing.

Karen I hope your hand heals fast. I love those big tomatoes. I slice them, spread a little mayo, salt and pepper and eat them, YUM!!! I planted 2 cherry tomatoes at my campground because it is hotter there and may rippen. Where I live it really isn't warm enough, plus alot of fog hinders them from turning red, we make a lot of piccalilli with green tomatoes, goes well with fish dinners. Love the camper p/c. I haven't been able to get to my camper much, it is about 1 hour 40 mins. away and the Dr. won't let me drive until I see a neurologist. I just got a call and someone canceled so I go tomorrow. Please pray that I get a good report. I didn't realize the p/c was for the arm of a chair, good idea!

Pat the temp is dropping right now and I hear thunder. It was up to 90* now 76* Guess the rain is coming back. Lynnie I get the ideas from the internet. Lots out there. Guess I spend to much time on the computer. LOL. Kinda like being too thin or too rich. No such thing. Gotta unplug right now the thunder is getting closer. Everyone enjoy your evening.
