Barb, that's a nice group of returning swappers! But Barb, I could kick myself. I finished cutting and packaging for next year but last night, I ran across dozens (many dozens!) of strips I cut last year, intending to use them in 2019-2020. I'd set them aside for safekeeping (uggg) and promptly forgot about all of them. Sooo...I've got a jump on 2020-2021 in the event you're still running this swap then. Also, I am definitely one who cut strips without regard to little heads, etc., on novelty fabrics. Since I have very few novelties, I'll go ahead and add some extra candies in each of those packages. So here in Michigan they are calling for our first big snow storm of the year. Seems like the weathermen(women) get very excited when they get to talk about ALL at the snow.

I really don't care either way about snow...I usually really like January, I like to "watch the snow" and feel the comfort of "just staying home". This year is different. I have 2 jobs and have to get to them. We just listed our house to sell and frantically looking for somewhere to live. So I think I am feeling the snow will just be the a nuisance . oh well maybe next year I will enjoy the snow.

I am cutting my squares for the next Birthday club. Getting myself ready. I myself will have to also check my larger print fabric for lopsided pictures. I never even thought to look. Thanks for the reminder.

I love the snow! It makes everything outdoors look so clean and white. And when the sun is out-- wow, I love the sparkles. I like the crunchy sound when you walk on it when the temperature is low. :-) I don't like to be cold. And I really don't like to drive when there's snow or ice. But if I could stay home, where it's warm, and just go out now and then to shovel or enjoy the snow, that would be perfect!

Barb, We've got about 5" or 6" here. If you are keeping your jobs then you'll be looking for a house there, or if not, you are welcome to come over to my neck of the woods! :-)

Givio.....I looked on the map to see where your "neck of the woods" is and that yellow house on rogers St. is adorable! You are only about 1 and 5 minutes away for me. We should have a Michigan meetup! Need to live over this way for my kids and grandkids but we are looking towards South Lyon, Mi....I think that would make us a little bit closer.

well my house has been put up for sale.:shock: My husband lost his job in December and neither one of us is having luck finding anything full time with health benefits. So we decided to sell our house. Still looking to see where we will be moving to. We are hoping to get enough out of our house to pay cash for something much smaller (and cheaper) so we don't have a house payment.
The house was put on the market today and so far today we had one showing and 3 are scheduled for tomorrow. Such a mix bag of feelings. Lived in our house for 23 years.

Barb, Moving can be a good way to clean out what you don't really need. Downsizing can have a way of urging you to chose what's important and what's not... it can be freeing... You might find you like your next house better. :-) A smaller place might take less time to clean. lol

Good morning. My candies for my fellow February birthday gals, SheriR and RosemaryAttaway, are in the mailbox to go out today. You should have them by the beginning of next week at the latest. :)

I have the last three birthdays ready, just have to address and stamp them. Still working on next year's candies. My DH has been sick, today is the 7th day. Most of my attention has been in taking care of him and our new puppy. I had forgotten how active a puppy can be.

I ventured out to the Post Office today. Kalamazoo area had a rain/sleet/freezing rain event last evening so I did not have to go to work at the university today because it was closed which is a rare event. Instead, I packed up a box of UFO's to be mailed to a board member and put the February Birthday packages in the mail. They should arrive before February 1.
