Love the Abby Road Kass! Amazing!
For applique it depends on the project. I either do the fusible,(which I used for the VW) the way Kass does it,(but with freezer paper so no glue needed) needle-turn, or the Lori Holt way with a stabilizer to turn. Moonworks you're going to have to finish your quilt so everyone can see. It's going to be amazing. Very creative! |
I realized after I posted they were all opal. If you haven't yet, you can post to opal. :) I'll straighten out the gallery tomorrow. Thanks. Got an ill pup tonight. For being a "tough" pitbull she's got an amazingly sensitive tummy. 😟

One of you needs to change her name! Two moons! Yeah, definitely confusing! But it's better if we all post with board names. My sanity will thank you.

Freezer paper works amazingly well it is my favorite, but hard to find in my area for some reason.
Have you tried looking for it in the grocery store or Walmart? We can find it here in the section where the storage and freezer bags are. It's much less expensive at the grocery than buying it at your local quilt shop. I love the stuff for applique and as a stabilizer. |
I have the fabric, let the good times roll

My poor ADD brain is in overload! If you all could have seen my sewing table earlier, you might have gotten a bit nervous. My duck are all in a row at least for tonight. I want to look at everything all at once. Some I'm drawn to, some give me pause, but I want to make you each a great block that fits your request. I have chosen a starting spot. I I never have given a sneak peek, but here is one. |

Just wanted everyone to know I was busy. Hand sewing takes a bit longer. As well as fussy cutting!

Hey - Just to clarify too.... I love "traditional" blocks also. The lady this will be for is also a quilter so she appreciates all type of blocks :). Don't feel intimidated to have to do applique or something funky.
