Biblio - I remember your train fabric - and the quilt came out great!!
Pam - congrats on your quick block making
Received my blocks. I look them all over and find out what your note tells me. I them put them all back except 2. I match the colors requested from my stash and they now both are sitting on my table. If I don't already know which pattern - looking at the F8 and matching colors will give me inspiration (I hope)

I was hoping tomorrow DH and I could take a day and walk around the town, dine, etc, but forecast says rain. Umpf

Janice McC 02-13-2019 04:36 PM

Boom 15, that was a long time ago. Good job getting a UFO done and done so nicely! Next stop...the gallery...

Got my squishy, looked everything over eyed some fabrics that had repeats and started on Bstone's fire cracker's fabric. Here is step one

Omgosh, I forgot to post the pic for my block for AnnieQuilts here. I think it's called a "split star" but I wouldn't bet my life on it. Hope you like it. :)

This fabric and the other coordinating fabrics you sent are so cheery and fun, AQ! They'll make a gorgeous quilt.

Janice McC 02-13-2019 04:54 PM

You're already working your magic!

I'm so enjoying everyone's beautifully crafted blocks and quilts :) My squishy is still meandering it's way here - hopefully will have it tomorrow.

Happy Valentine's Day to all!

PamelaOry 02-13-2019 06:04 PM

I love this!

Kass love your magic already

zozee 02-13-2019 07:20 PM

Whoa! I love it! Never saw that block before and I must say, the WOW looks perfect with the crimson print.

Here is Bstone's finished block. I had a measuring error the corner stones were suppose to be those smaller pieced 4 patches.

TG, love the patchwork fruits.

PamelaO, beautiful first block!

B'stone, Boom 15 was before my time, but I really like the train quilt top.

Awesome firecracker block, Kass. I think the new cornerstones are nice because they show what the original fabric looked like.

Lovely split star, Janice.

Janice McC 02-14-2019 04:32 AM

Kassaundra, a stunner! What I like most about it is that center block with the little star motif you created. So pretty!

Kassaundra 02-14-2019 04:36 AM

Thanks when I saw that little yellow star, I knew that was going to be the center no matter what.

Cheesehead 02-14-2019 04:40 AM

Kass, that quilt block is just incredible, great job!

Pamela and Janice great star blocks! I don't recall the split star but it's giving me an idea to someday make several of those blocks to try to achieve a star within a star.

terriamn 02-14-2019 06:19 AM

Kass once again a super fantastic block

vikkim 02-14-2019 06:41 AM

Beautifully done Pam! Really shows off the fabric. I love the background fabric you picked!

Beautiful blocks being made! This Boom is surely starting off with a big bang!

vikkim 02-14-2019 06:45 AM

Just got my fabrics yesterday! Excited to get started! Just trying to figure out who is going to clean my house?! :D

Four of you got the wild fabrics I sent. Hav4boys you are one of them. If you get this fabric please make the block on point. See below. If you got this fabric would you let me know you got this message. Didn’t think about it until after I sent the blocks. No worries if it doesn’t happen. I’ll make it work. Thanks for putting up with me not figuring out what I needed until now!

mjpEncinitas 02-14-2019 09:09 AM

DH and I went out to breakfast and looked at all the fabrics. Don’t worry we kept them in their bags. DH has travelin grandmas fabric as he is going to design that block. I’ll sew it. I have designs for Kassaundras, cheeses, Darcy’s, Jabas, Janice’s,and Libster and ideas for Bibliostone, vikki, klaws, and Hav4boy. Now if only my hands worked as quickly as my brain does

I’m finishing up the top for the summer block swap I did last year. Very challenging as the blocks are three different sizes. I have about one more full day on that and then I can start the boom.

Wow! This is a fantastic block. Such talent in finding all those repeats to form the 4 patches. Thank you.

Your welcome. I was hoping for this fabric when I saw the pic I suspected there would be enough repeats to do some repeat work. It reminds me of the old screen savers w/ the colored pipes that look 3D, in person some of the prints in the 4 patches look 3D.

Mjp, I have one and I’ll be sure to make a block suitable on point. No worries!

My husband just blessed me with an incredible Valentine's day gift. It cuts fabric and I can enter my blocks and it will cut them. I am so excited. Going to practice today.

TheMerkleFamily 02-14-2019 12:03 PM

My squishy arrived with all 19 bags and fabrics :) My little pretties are even prettier in person!

Congratulations H4B - have fun with your new toy!

Libster 02-14-2019 12:07 PM

Hav4boys, that man is a definite keeper! Lucky you!

MJP, I love your "good block" ! So pretty.

Cheesehead 02-14-2019 12:46 PM

Hav4, that's a great valentine's gift, congratulations!

hav4boys 02-14-2019 01:02 PM

He is a keeper... when he is bored at work, he draws me quilt squares. I keep them all and am going to make him a quilt using all "his" blocks.

hav4boys 02-14-2019 01:05 PM

The fabric for me has taken a detour. Said it would be delivered yesterday, but today it says it is in transit. Who knows. Hope it comes tomorrow.

klaws 02-14-2019 04:28 PM

I received my squishy today too. All 19 are there. I was working on a block for myself today. I have to finish sewing it together and send a pic tomorrow.
Yesterday I went to a quilt show here in the Cleveland area. It was really nice. I took a bunch of pictures so if anyone is interested in seeing some, I will post those tomorrow also.

terriamn 02-14-2019 04:34 PM

Klaws can’t wait to see your quilt show picture.

H4B have fun with your new toy and share with us how you like it

AnnieQuilts 02-14-2019 04:45 PM

My 19 F8's came today. What a relief! I was getting worried because I wasn't getting all the tracking updates. and informed delivery said I had no packages in the system.

Janice, I love, love, love the star block you made! Thank you!

Kass, the firecracker block is wonderful; Four Patch Posies is one of my favorite patterns.

I still need to read some of the requests. Can't wait to get started.

MJP, I got your wild fabric too. On point is no problem.

Darcyshannon 02-14-2019 04:58 PM

Received package today. Will count fabric tomorrow, ooh and ahh, and start sewing.

sewbizgirl 02-14-2019 05:41 PM

MJP, love both of your blocks!

H4B, have fun learning what your new 'toy' can do. Way better than roses, huh?

What an honor - I recall he designed some on the other swap - but this will make it even more special
