So here’s a reminder that if we don’t fill the 2 month group, each person will have the option of doing 2 blocks for everyone who also wants to sew 2, to a maximum of 19. You will not be required to make two. Those that choose to will obviously receive more blocks in return. If you are new to the swap, a fence sitter or just a bit unsure if you’ll have time to make a bunch of blocks, you can commit to one block per member. The blocks could be made into other things...table runner, place mats, wall hanging, you name it. They don’t have to be for quilts. Just a thought...it's wading into the Boom pool instead of diving in. Those of you already in the 2 month group, please think about whether you wish to make two each. In another couple of days, I’ll start contacting you about it if the group doesn’t fill.

I have come up w/ a layout plan for this booms blocks so am going to adjust my color choices. No worries I will include this w/ the fabric. I am going to add to the grey and wow, one of the colors in the fabric (chartreuse, pink, or burgundy) All 3 colors will be and/or, so any combination of wow, grey, one fabric color.

Today I join the land of the living. This post was one of the many things I missed while being sick the first part of the year. I would like to be be a back up on the three month and will sign up for the two month and will make extra to get to 20 or close.
My first thought will be for blocks for boys. My guild makes quilts for kids and boys, especially from ages 10 on up seem to not get as many quilts. I have just glanced through the thread and it is fun to see what you are all up to and I look forward to chatting the next few months. |
Hello there, Darcyshannon. Sorry to hear you've been ill but I'm glad you are back and on the mend! If you haven't yet done so, please send me an email with the info requested in Post #1 of this thread. I'll add you to the 2 month group and put you in as the first on the waiting list if a spot becomes available in the 3 month group. Only question is do you want to drop the 2 month in the event you pick up the 3 month? Let me know all in your email. Thank you! Be well.

Quick newbie questions..
Is it helpful to send a complimentary second fabric if I wish to have multiple fabrics per block? And if so, what size should the second fabric cut be to allow for plenty of creative freedom? Thanks! Edited: And still be able to fit in the postage envelopes :D |
