GramE, love my block and the ones for Jaba and Macybaby. I did know exactly what you mean about a block giving you the fits. Spent 2 after Nona putting together and taking apart my block for a Sewbiz. First it was frustration with the pattern, followed by me making stupid mistakes. Never been so glad to finish one block.

No Janice, I think I wasn’t sure if I was done with this block, but upon reflection decided to be done but forgot to take a pic.
Now, anybody have a block you thought you’d rather put money in the baggie and throw the block away? It was my fault. I was supposed to make four pieced squares then cut them diagonally. But I had one set turned wrong so the block wouldn’t go together. I’ve now take out about 12+ seams, cut 6 new pieces, gratefully it was my fabric mostly. So here it goes. I hear ya, Terri!

I want to say from 100 blocks #10. Pivot Point and you might not recognize it, I have a tendency to use artistic license when I make blocks. Block #960 on page 48 of volume 10. I use this block a lot. It has potential for 2, 3, or 4 colors. And just a smidgen of one color with that small block in the center!

Morning, EBs. I was able to visit 2 LQSs in the area and found a pre-packaged quilt at the second shop that for some reason just struck me as darling. Unfortunately, they wouldn’t break out the pattern for me (totally understand) but i just found it online. Woo hoo! I think I’ll buy it and make it for the grand for use at my house. :) https://javahousequilts.com/shop/met...v=7516fd43adaa. This one is pieced but there's another version with an appliquéd fox, also darling.
I won’t mention the extent of the “damage” I sustained at the first shop (https://tinasfabricnook.com/) except to tell you that it’s going to be well worth it for baby. If you ever have a chance to get up here, definitely check out Tina’s fabric Nook in Granby, Colorado. The women working there were very helpful and friendly. And although the shop was smsll’ish, their selections were excellent. |
Oh my Janice that pattern is adorable.

Janice, I know what you mean about “damage”. Going to a fabric store you may never get back to it is very very tempting. I got my Boom 23 fabric in a store in Tennessee that I’d never been to! I drug myself out with three fabrics.

Catching up ...
GramE - I absolutely love the block you made for me! I was scrolling by, saw it, thought, "Wow, is that gorgeous!", and then realized it's for me! Woo hoo! :D Thanks so much. <3 Mailing my blocks back in the morning. I'd intended to do that last week, then got side-tracked with all the hectic craft fair stuff that's going on, then saw the post to wait until Thursday (yesterday), so I'll pop them in the mail in the morning. The tracking number should arrive in a PayPal email shortly (I printed the shipping label through them). :) One of my biggest craft fairs of the year is Saturday, so I'm scrambling to get as many things made as I can. I've made 11 purses and tote bags so far this week, with barely a dent made in my To-Do pile. LOL! Sleep? What's that? ;) |
