Good morning. Glad more blocks are coming in.

Yesterday, DH finished with the old house and we’re finally here together. We’re looking forward to a nice long weekend. Hope you all have a pleasant one, too!

I received my blocks yesterday but haven't had a chance to even open the package. I plan on doing that sometime today.
I hope everyone has a nice and safe Labor Day.

Thank you Janice, for another fun Boom swap. We appreciate all you do to make it work.

You are welcome. :)

Janice so glad you and hubby will be together in new house. Do you absolutely love your country setting? We sure do, have been hoping to see deer and other wildlife but so far have only seen a harmless but ugly garter snake and a flock of turkey vultures. Yuck

Thankfully we have had a good offer on our house and once again off the market waiting for their inspection. This couple has been much easier to work with. They are willing to do an early closing as soon as they get their finances all settled and are only looking for major problems with the house inspection. There shouldn’t be any since we took care of the cracked sewer line that came up in the previous inspection. Hope they love the house as much as we did.

Terriamn, sounds like everything is going well for you now. So happy to hear the newest buyers are easier to work with. I’m sure they’ll love the house! Our house went on the market Saturday and it’s been non-stop showings. Our area hardly has any homes for sale and those that are, go fast. We are closing bidding tomorrow and expect several decent offers. I know that one person offered low, put in a bunch of stipulations, the most obnoxious of which was that the place get a thorough cleaning before they move in. Wellll, excuse me, that house is spotless now! We had a cleaning crew for two days do everything anyone could possibly want, and more. Guess who won’t be getting our house! Fingers crossed that we get a nice offer.

The question has been raised as to when I’ll run the next Boom. I think I’m going to wait until right after the holidays. I hope that will work for everyone who might be interested.

Have a great week, Boomers!

edited to add: yes, Terriamn, we do love it here. We’re just off a busy road but far enough back to hear nothing. We have lots of deer, two dozen wild turkeys, a bear I have thankfully yet to see, lots of birds, a grey heron who frequents the pond across the street and lots of squirrels, including white ones.

Sounds wonderful Janice. Glad the houses are selling for you and Terriamn!

Yahoo Janice hoping you get your choice of several good offers.. Hard to believe some people can be so demanding at a time when most houses are selling so fast.

They'll find out... https://cdn.quiltingboard.com/images...s/rolleyes.png

In the Memphis area where I was looking for a house, they have this silly thing where prospective buyers also submit a "love letter" with their offer... telling why they love the house and how much it would mean to them to get it. Crazy or what? My 'love letters' didn't do me any good.
