I have absolutely no hope of Ernie being better behaved than Rio was! lol. DH is outside measuring for chicken wire of all things because Ernie was trying to get under and around the fence boards. Small dogs come with different but equally exasperating issues same as a large dog. If he gets out there’s zero chance of him hearing us and minding. Oh, well, chicken wire it is.

I look forward to seeing your table runners.

I am working on a fall table runner for my sister. Cut out enough pieces to make me one also but not sure I want to make two of them now. Rather boring.

Today I’ve got to fix the binding on my last quilt, the bunny love one. In a small section I didn’t catch enough of the quilt and it might come apart when washed and used. I need to just bite the bullet and take that section apart and redo it. Hmmph.

I used the extra teal fabric that Terriamn sent to us but didn't have enough of it for the rest of the basket, so I tried to somewhat match it...a larger piece would have been nice, I'm just using this as a current example, and agree with mjpEncintas and Jaba and Sewbiz that the second piece provides cohesion. For me the extra $10 is worth it for a second envelope for 2 sets. Hugs all!

Good grief I sewed my border piece together then proceeded to sew it on the runner backwards so the seam was exposed. Have to say that was a first, I had a nice quiet time with Jack. Fixed it and put it a side, only have one border to go then look for a back and quilt it.

91 here and humid with not much a breeze. Will be a short golf card rides through the parks this evening.

Janice Rio was a real sweetie and we had taken her to obedience classes but boy did she have a little naughty streak in her. Made her even more special

Terriamn, I recall Connie and Rio looking like siblings. This little guy is Connie’s mini-clone.

Amazingly, our internet was repaired today. Woo hoo. Six weeks without tv and the internet. Turned on the tv, watched a bit of thoroughly sad and depressing news and shut the darn thing off. I’m going to read a book instead.

The weekend is coming. Anyone have any fun plans? We’re going to hang with Ernie and continue to make him feel at home. It’ll be a relaxing weekend.

TV isn’t all that grand. I get most of my news from selective internet sources. Anything else is not worth my time. Movies from Amazon prime or similar so no commercials. Rather read a book!
Went to movies today. We like to do a movie and dinner day. Saw Tom Hanks movie ‘Here’ and was disappointed. But we tried new Mediterranean restaurant and enjoyed it.

Thanks, Sewbizgirl. We survived the Obama years so we are likely to survive three houses controlled by one party this time around, too.

Janice -- You asked for pictures to be a specific size. Was that in pixels? I finally found my camera and took pictures of some of my blocks (my photography skills are not the best) and then I resized the pictures to 400 pixels horizontally so they would post successfully in the QB. Is that too big?

Here are a couple of pictures for you all. WMUTeach, I think this pattern came out of my 1000 blocks book. I tried so hard to fussy cut this beautiful material but gave up. It was easy to put together once I stopped agonizing over my inability to fussy cut.

TravelingGramma, this block was originally going to be a Waterwheel Variation from the Quilter's Cache website (Quilt Blocks Galore!) but it looked too much like a Nazi symbol after it was finished so I replaced the corner blocks with your fabric and the waterwheel is now a propeller.

Janice, let me know if I need to shrink the images further. It's easy to do on my computer. I won't post any more blocks until I hear back from you. MS Paint works in Pixels or Percentages, which doesn't match anything like I remember you saying. After you play with the two I have posted, you can tell me if they need to be resized smaller or not. Thank you!

I tracked down your post, Janice. Then I googled what 200 kb was in pixels. It is just under 400 pixels (392). I was going to resize the posted pictures but when I pulled the attachments up it said both were under 100 kb. I'm sticking with my MSPaint 400 pixel resizing unless you tell me otherwise. I just want to make it as easy as possible for you to upload my end-of-the-boom pictures.

Scratch Ernie behind the ears for me.
