I am sending prayers up for all of you. This has been a crazy year for everyone, it seems. I am thankful that you all, my dear quilting buddies, are willing to get to the doctor as needed.

Changing seasons causes pressure changes that affect me with joint pains, and dizziness. Terri, your cheek is likely responding to those pressure changes because of the damage from your turtle tumble. Hang in there!!! Stress will do those things, too and I fear you are all feeling the stress. If not from hurricanes then dear people that are getting ill. Sewbizgirl, I am so sorry to hear about both of them being in the hospital now. That is too much on everyone in your extended family. Faith helps but the potential changes weighs us down.

Since I have saved my blocks to the very end of our time frame, I will be busy and hopefully not be able to think of anything else but blocks. It is how I escape from my overwhelming worries. I found a set of pencils that included the following saying: "I excel in random worst-case scenarios". That's me!

Blessings to all of you.

Good morning. Boy, it’s chilly. I’m off to vote early. It just started today so we’re getting it over with.

Ibex you’ve got enough time to make your beautiful blocks. Hope you enjoy the process.

Have a lovely day.

Janice no news on hubby?

No news on CT. My sewing machine is packed in the car. In fact other than cold stuff we are totally packed. I put out my Christmas table runner and a few other winter decorations. If they weren’t stored so high up I would put more out now so less to do when we come back for Christmas. Really hope this will be our last time driving home for Christmas. Would like to celebrate Thanksmas or Christmas in July or fly home. Hubby thinks we are inconveniencing friends or family. Even his nephew said that wasn’t the case at all.

Freezing outside! I’m standing at the corner in pitch black in order to get this connection! lol. Hubby is doing well. No signs of trouble. He’s got a Holter monitor on out of an abundance of caution. He must wear it for two weeks.

im finally working on my blue floral quilt. All my sashings are cut so now it’s time to put it all together.

im going in! Brrrr.

Lstew, prayers for your sis and family! Maybe this is the wake up call she needed to get her problems under control. So glad you could be there for them.

We had a family emergency too... Hubby's youngest brother in Baton Rouge LA passed out on the floor, no telling how long before his sister found him. He went to the ER by ambulance. They did testing that night and the next morning he was in surgery. He had a large tumor in his brain, and also a clot that ruptured (causing the collapse). We are waiting to hear if this tumor is benign or cancerous. If it's cancer, he has to go back into surgery. They are keeping him sedated, but today he was taken off the respirator and put on a machine that only assists breathing--he starts the breath. We are praying for the best possible outcome.
Their father (my hubby's stepfather) also had a big brain tumor back in the 90's, and once they removed it, it grew back! They had to take it out again, but he died within a few years. So maybe these brain tumors are hereditary?

Sending prayers to your family, The DRs are miracle workers. I am continuously amazed at what they can do.

Great news! CT came back as AOK. Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers. Leaving tomorrow for Texas!

Janice glad the doctors are taking caution with your hubby!

Sewbiz continued prayers for your BIL

I am sending prayers to all of my Boom family. I think we all need it. Prayer works.

Beautiful blocks TG, Terri and WMUteach. At first glance I thought your Cherrys were peaches. The block is pretty, and the farm girl quilt will be stunning.

Quick update on my baby sister, she is back in the hospital. Lots of drainage, pain and fever. Getting a PIC line, antibiotics and IV fluids as the Doc does not want her to put anything in her stomach. He feels she is not healing as well as he hoped. Keep the prayers coming. My mother is still helping with her family and the two older children are being a big help to her.

Thank God for physicians. I am thinking of all the devastated areas and how hard it must be to even have a place to go to seek medical attention.
Cold front came in here also and is great sleeping with the extra quilts. This too will pass. Have been working on projects and my room is a disaster with shorts and flannels all over. I started and got most of the stash cut down into candy size ; RV fabric into containers by color. But still some spread over ironing board and Accuquilt.
IBEX - looking forward to seeing all your blocks. I got mine finished and so enjoyed the "get-a-way" time.

Oh no, SBG!!! That is so scary about your in-laws! Sending prayers for everyone in your family (you and your dizzy spells too!) that everything ends well.

Praying for your sister too, Lstew!

Sorry I haven't been on here a lot lately. I put a hold on sewing my Boom blocks while we dealt with a terrible flea problem for a couple of weeks. I didn't want diatomaceous earth powder (which is how I was treating the carpets) to get on your fabrics and blocks. That stuff makes such a fine dust and it got everywhere! I got flea collars and flea spray for the cats, so I think with all the treatments, the flea problem is gone! Fingers crossed! I did a deep clean of the house this week, and I can take out my sewing again.

The weather has cooled off so much! I had to make the kids wear coats to school a couple of days this week! I love this weather.

Oh NZ- ugh fleas. Are kids okay? We had them once in trailer it was horrible. I am itching just thinking about it.
Yes weather has changed so hopefully you can air out the house too!

Boomers- keep extra safe.
