Beautiful star, LAF!

The Twisted Star is a paper pieced pattern I bought on Etsy. It ate my lunch!

Terri, glad your hubby likes to travel. Have fun with the grandbaby.

Another practice block for me.
It was a small block that I enlarged each piece to get to 12.5 square. Surprisingly it went together great. In the amall squares you can see where I flipped the orange and used the backside of it. Now that I know my measurements are correct, I plan to cut out a Boom fabric using this pattern

All2Pieces, here’s an Eddystone Light block for you. I love the dark brown and green with your fabric. I hope this one suits you!

Great block, Moon. I like what you did with the orange squares.

Janice it is a crazy time for us right now. But talk about getting up in the morning and not knowing where you are!

LAF, that is lovely, really lovely. The idea of floating the stars into the border is imaginative and will male your quilt unique.

I finished a block for myself this afternoon. You may see this pattern again, I like making it. One down and you get to make the rest! ;) Have fun.

I have been shopping to get final fabric for a graduation quilt (thanks to Sewbiz girl I found out the name was SWOON!). Along side that project, I have been having fun researching Civil War patterns and shopping Civil War fabric. Picked up a few fat quarters and found some scraps in my stash so I am looking forward to sewing the Civil War block!

Terrianm, loved the way you kept the fabric vertical in spite of the block pattern having both vertical and horizontal shapes. You have a very good eye!!

Sewbiz, thanks for my first modern block! Like I mentioned you can use 2 or 3 or 4 or 5 other colors with the simple dot pattern I provided. I hope the end product will be really colorful so that I have to struggle what sashing and border to compliment you gals work!

I love Fabric 406.com too! I collected some patterns after getting my boom swap envelope. I will start sorting through and organizing them along with my standard online printed favorite patterns soon. I hope to get a few blocks started in the next week or so.
My longarm quilter gave me a deadline of May 22 to finish the graduation quilt I am making for my birthday buddy. So I think I might have to quit doing housework and do heads down sewing this next three weeks! Oh what a chore I love!

I love that twisted star too!
