I was wandering the internet and found this site. Twenty 12 inch blocks from Nancy's Notions. Simple one page directions that can be printed or downloaded all in one place. No new patterns but having a nice selection is a winner for me. I saved them all to a file on my laptop. https://nancysnotions.com/quilt-alon...ake-a-sampler/ As the name indicates they are from a sew along sampler but just perfect for us.

Thank you, WMUT. Those are all familiar and long loved blocks that I have in my Around the Block books, but since not everyone has those books, there they are!
Moda also has a bunch of free 12" blocks. They call them Moda Blockheads... and they do sewalongs with them. I believe they are on BH6 now, or later, but before that there were BH1, BH2, BH3, etc., and the patterns are still online for you to grab.
Today we tried to buy new phones and a new phone plan and were shocked at the prices! We could see it wasn't going to be a quick process. We looked at Verizon and they require a 3 YEAR contract. When did that become a thing? We have never signed more than a 2 year contract with anybody else. Wish we weren't so dependent on the darn things!

LAF thank you for my fun farm block

Sewbiz 2 years ago we both purchased new phones. It was a very time consuming. I don’t remember how many years our contract is for Verizon. Since we have had them for over 20 years we will probably just stick with them

Did find 4 or 5 different brown fabrics while shopping today and some cow fabric just jumped into my basket. The cow fabric should go with my other cow fabric that I sent out with the farm fabric

Then dh called me over and was so excited they had aboriginal fat quarters all the way from Australia. Shocked me since is favorite color is white. Now to find just the right pattern.

The picture is from the quilt museum “ food section”. It totally reminded me of Ibex and Sewbiz’s past costal themes

Oh and I have half of the needed blocks for the graduation quilt that is on deck to be be finished next.

Guess I should unpack and replace all of the tools etc. that I traveled with. Then a little snack and off to sleep in my own bed. There's no place like home, there's now place like home, there's no place like home. ZuZu is ready for some cuddles too.

Glad you made it home, nothing like sleeping in your own bed.

Thanks for Sharing this site. I need to make a quilt for a friend and I might just use this site and make the blocks in order.

I hate shopping for phones, internet, computers, Cable. it is all overwhelming. Love the lobster quilt. I have a fabric collage quilt I need to finish. It is a fabric photo of Monument Valley.

This was a miniature, between 12”and18” square. Check out all those itty bitty triangles. The miniatures were amazing

Good afternoon, Bloomers! I'm back from errands including the purchase of a new over the stove microwave to replace the one still in the house from our purchase 5 years ago. Our old one is model year, get this, 1989. It didn't even revolve! LOL. Now we're going to be up to date in the microwave department. Now about the stove, and the windows. and, and, and...

LAF thank you for the lovely green batik and blue block you made for me. It's exactly what I had in mind. Now with my other blocks and ones I made myself from the last boom, I have enough to make a nice sized lap quilt.

Terriamn, those miniatures!!! Fabulous. Thank you for the up close pix. Hope today's driving goes well.

I'm off to finish a block started yesterday for lstew. I should get it posted shortly.

Here’s a Contrary Wife for Lstew’s Christmas fabric. I added a light Christmas tree print that I think works with yours. Hope you like it!

One more fun one that shows the full size in first picture then a close up in second.

Great blocks, LAF and Janice!

Terri, what an awesome lobster quilt! I take it you are at the Quilt Museum in Paducah? The miniatures are amazing too. I can't imagine making those tiny points. Be sure you visit Hancocks if you are in Paducah. The sandwiches at Kirshener's Bakery are not to be missed, either. Safe driving home!

Today I'm going to try to lay out my BurgSur top and sandwich it on the king sized bed upstairs. I'm really intimidated! I've never quilted a quilt that big. Wish me luck!

Sewbiz the pictures are from the museum. Unfortunately or fortunately Hancock was closed yesterday. I waved at you as we went through Mississippi and even though Cheesehead is at home in Wisconsin I still waved at her. I have never been to Kentucky, Mississippi or Alabama before, love the temps! There are a couple more miniatures that I will share, they were made about 3””x by 4”. The gal used a tweezer, toothpick and sewing needle. Can you imagine

Good luck on your quilting, don’t forget to breath and roll your shoulders
