Here are the pictures of the blocks I have received so far.

babeyruth--thanks for checking out my blog. My husband was a fire chief! He retired from the fire department last year after 35 1/2 years of dedicated service! He started as a volunteer fireman, then moved his way up all the ranks from fireman (firefighter)-to finally fire chief for the last 5 years of his career.

I was working on a block - got it done, pressed and photographed before putting in an envelope, and discovered 1/4 of the block was turned 90 degrees from planned direction... :( So my progress has been arrested for now. Grab that seam ripper and RRRRRRIP! Hopefully, this will teach me to look before I sew!!

Quilt mom-I've had that happen, in fact yesterday I did the same thing! Bummer you have to use your "trusty" seam ripper again!! I can empathize with you!;)

Almost all done!
 

Just finished all my blocks from all the F8's I had. I'm sending 3 out on Monday. Deltadawn, dungeonquilted and quiltinggran. That will be 14 out of 15 done! Also just got a block from Quiltingmom today. Thank you, it will go great with everything else! This has been a lot of fun doing. I've learned alot from this. Looking foward to a next time! Looking foward to seeing all of my blocks together and figureing out how to put them together. Have a good weekend.

Just checking in just finished DeltaDawn's block, will be in Monday's mail. You all should have received a block from me now except Brenda 21.

I have received 8 blocks and I am really trying to wait and not just make two quilts! As if I did not have enough to do with out wanting to make more work! But the blocks are so pretty!

We had a craft fair this weekend and it was really awesome, now I am ready to do Christmas Shopping!

Well I just got home from a trip to the LQS and bought a book by Elenore Burns, it is the night and day Quilt in a day Quilt. I can't wait to get started on it, but I am being good and getting some projects done first!

I have one job from Arizona 4 memory quilts! I am so excited about them, when I get the tops I will ask permission to post so I can share! I love doing Memory quilts it is so rewarding, and often times very challenging.

Well I hope everyone is staying warm, Winter hit here this last week or so, we have had some snow days and a lot of cold ones!

OK back to my sewing machine! BTW Karen I see that you live in same area as Elenore Burns, does she have a local shop? I bet that would be a fun shop to visit!

Marybeth-yes her original Quilt in a Day store is in San Marcos. I recently "retired" from working at it parttime. I worked for her for almost 6 years and loved it.

I've made the Day and Night quilt-I need to quilt it now. It is a very fun pattern and not that hard because of her special ruler which makes it easy! Love that pattern.

How cool, I would love to work in a quilt shop! Only who would ever have the time LOL. I retired from Gov work almost 4 years ago, now I spend every free minute I have sewing, and LOVING IT. I make enough money sewing for others to keep my additcion to fabric happy! I will let you know how my Day and Night quilt turns out.

I received a beautiful block from yayaquilts yesterday. Thanks so much! It will go nicely in my spring quilt.

I have finished, and have ready to mail, three blocks. That will leave three, one of which is already in the works. I am trying to keep on task with this. But sometimes life gets in the way. It may be after the thanksgiving holiday that I finish. I apologize to those of you who are waiting.

Brenda--I haven't received your fabric as yet! FYI. Has anyone else received it?!

No, I haven't gotten Brenda's block and I have my final 2 here at home cut out and will finish them soon!! My blocks are all so special from you great quilters!!

I think my computer is acting up, I post and then hit enter and the post just disapears... I am giving up, figure when I come back later there will be mulitple posts! I really like learning new things but I am a bit frustrated with a change in the middle of a project, makes my mind go in too many different directions.

I am still waiting for a f8 from brenda21 as well... Finished a block yesterday for deltadawn. It will be in the mail next week. I will let you know when I post it.

it is so quiet in here since the change over, I must be getting used to it, I tried to remember the old site yesterday and I could not even tell you what it looked like LOL, ok time for me to get moving, I will be sewing today, working on a memory quilt, I just love them! I also have not received f8 from Brenda. Have finished all blocks in Spring group and sent out. I have received 8 of my blocks finished. I hope everyone has a wonderful Holiday week~

It is quiet here! I have finished all my blocks, except the one I haven't gotten yet, so I am just waiting to put mine together. First I will have to decide what I'm gonna do with it, will I add some more blocks or am I going to make a center section and add the blocks around it? Must think about it and see all the returned blocks together!
