I'm currently "under the weather" with a lovely cold and a case of pink eye, and am running behind on posting what I've received in the last few days. I'll try to do so ASAP. The glaring white color of the new board is nearly impossible for me to look at right now, with my eyes being super-sensitive.

All F8's have been received, and as of this morning, all grown-up blocks will have been mailed back to their mommies. :)

I have also received an F8 from DeltaDawn. :) Very pretty fabric.

Gotcha. Will post a picture of the fabrics later today. I was almost positive I wasn't reading that correctly, but it was worth a shot!

Hi ladies , hope everyone has their fabrics from me by the end of this week - all were sent last week. I apologise for the delay but I had to wait for my severence pay to come through as I have just been made redundant after 21 years nursing ! However on a positive note I thought I would share my latest arrival with all my new boom friends .

Hope I haven't tread upon any toes -- I haven't been on the site for the past couple weeks but have been making blocks and mailing them out. Today all the blocks for F8s received up to Oct. 16 have mailed - the finaly 7 F8s I have here will go out next week or the week after. (Only missing 2 more F8s) And now I finally got a chance to look at the postings. But, I just noticed that Quilting Nurse has done almost the same block as I am, so really hope I haven't hurt your feelings, Donna. Mine are a bit different, but quite similar. So sorry I didn't see earlier what you were making.

Florence, I have't posted any pictures, haven't figured it out yet either. Instructions are hiding someplace, I guess. I'm a creature of habit, I liked the old site better!!

i'm so delighted i found this thread! there's hope for me yet! i believe i am missing an f8 still from lv2sew and girlscouts1. deltadawn's arrived in today's mail!

Last F8 arrived today from deltadawn, along with a beautiful grownup from her. There is little hope of my finding my way around this site with all the changes ... so deltadawn if you can post the picture please do so.

If someone finds the instructions for posting pictures please tell the rest of us!

I cant remember if I posted that I received a F8 from deltadawn or not and I sure cant find it on this new site! Wish they had instructions for posting pictures. If anyone figures it out let me know please!

Learning this neew site had gotten me all turned around, not liking the changes but am trying to figure out how to do things. I can't seem to find anything! And not getting notice when new posts are add here.

Went over my records and I am missing a F8 from girlscouts1.

How to post pictures for those that are asking :)
 

1. Under the box where comments are typed, click advanced.
2. Click Manage Attachments (a seperate little pop up window comes up)
3. Click browse
4. Double click on your chosen picture
5. Click upload
You can add more pictures at this time by repeating step 3 and on! You also delete pictures you mis-clicked here
Just click remove by the picture "name" that you want to delete
6. Finally click Submit Reply

Babeyfire, I have tried posting pic that way and when I hit upload I keep getting and error reading. I have even tried to make my pic smaller and it doesn't work.

I tried last night to up load pictures and it wouldnt let me. I emailed customer support and they sent me back a note saying my pictures were too big. Havent tried to make them smaller yet but I did what Babyfire did also as far as advanced etc. Anyone have any luck posting let me know please! Im missing seeing all the beautiful blocks!!!

I found this, written by Patrice, and it works - I posted a trial pix, nice and big, easy to see!

How to post an image
1. You will need to be logged in to post an image on The Quilting Board, and you will need to have your Message Editor Interface setting in your General Settings set to Enhanced Interface - Full WYSIWYG Editing.
2. Once you are logged in, navigate to the forum discussion board or post you'd like to post and image in.
3. To post an image select the picture icon button next to the video icon button above your new post. You have the option to upload a file from your computer, or to insert a URL of an image file from the web.
4. When you are done uploading your image, you will see the image in your post. You can add a description for the image and other text.
5. Then, preview it to make sure everything looks good.
6. Finally, click on the Submit New Thread button to publish your post.

My laptop has completely crashed - bear with me as I try to retrieve all pics (on daughters laptop )and I will try to post.

Are members entering a lot less pictures and posts now? In the past I was getting email notifications 3 or 4 times a day about new postings. Now I don't get any. If I go to an old email (thank goodness I kept 1 for a link to the board) it will bring me to this page. It seems like members aren't finding their way to this or just are really discouraged with the changes. Anyone else feel this way?

I think there are a lot of discouraged people. I've participated in a lot of groups that have updated websites before but this has to be one of the worst transitions for users that I have seen. I participate using a netbook and the ads take over the screen so you can't see much of the quilting boards. I'm afraid a lot of the swaps and round robins will grind to a halt because the participants are totally lost. Its sad. Someday it will be better but we will have lost a lot of quilting friends in the meantime.

I agree about fewer people posting. I have had to email one of the monitors several times with problems and they always resolve it but its still aggravating to not be able to find the things I use to be able to find!

Im still missing an F8 from girlscouts1. Everything else has been finished and mailed! I sure miss seeing the pictures of what everyone has made!
