Dad had the mail all laid out in rows on the table so I couldn't miss it when I got home.

We "play" a game when I'm opening -- "Fabric" or "Block"?

Even though he doesn't know they are for him, he "oooohhhhs and aaaaahhhs" over all of them and heads for the iron before pictures can be taken. Talk about enjoying the mail...this is it at it's height!

Now we have 3 cats and he is thrilled...I wish you could hear his laugh when something tickles him. :eek: He loved the pieced cat and so far thinks that will be the "middle if it was up to him".

Mailling finished blocks home to NanaKathy and Roseysue tomorrow. Has anyone tried Jinny Beyer patterns? Ive tried two of them now and Im not liking the lack of instructions that came with the patterns. Probably better NOT try anymore of hers unless I do it on my scrap fabric! sorry.... :(

Joanelizbay: that is home and hearth from 501 quilt blocks an E book I was gifted this year. I apologize for not putting that in the envelope sometimes I am just happy I found the envelope. sorry! that is going to be one fun quilt. Moon glad your dad is enjoying his blocks. three cats that will be one happy cat quilt for him. I didnt add a face figured you could add a button nose or eyes if you chose to. I kind of liked it being all black :) the paper pieced one wow that is sure pretty. lucky man!
