Wow..Miss Giggle thats going to be beautiful! I loved your fabric and it looks so good with the browns and oranges with it! Will be glad to see it when you get it finished!.. I was looking at the blocks I had made and received and Id sure like to see the finished blocks of Dahna42, OK Darla, RoseIrish48, Roseysue and LJDugas31 when they get them put together. I think their fabric was especially pretty to my old eyes and would love to see the finished product if they would post them!! Of course I would LOVE to see everyones when they get them laid out or finished!

Started on a Carpenters Star quilt top last night. It called for 6" blocks but Im making them 3 1/2" blocks, thinking I might put more than one in the top. Its sure an easy pattern! Like I need to make another top! LOL Hope everyone that lives in the paths of the storms yesterday is safe. So sad when children go to school and think they are "safe" and disaster of anykind happens. Not sure I could handle it if it were my 3 grandkids who are in the same grade at the same school! God Bless everyone.

Has anyone gotten an update on lovngrandma, scrapper, tracibug, cuppy or dottie dodge? If they arent going to be done with the swap by June 1st I think Ill go ahead and use the ones I have and put the quilt together since its for my granddaughters birthday and I want to make sure it gets to the quilters and back in time for her birthday.! Irecently had Total Shoulder replacement and it looks like I won't be able to finish all my blocks by the deadline. I am looking forward to getting back to them when the Dr. gives the OK. It could be a month or so.

Sorry to hear about your shoulder surgery. I know the pain I have had with my frozen shoulder. PT twice a week for the last 4 months. I go back to doctor Tuesday. I am glad to say, it is feeling better and have most of the motion back. I am not in any hurry for my block back or you could just send back the fat 8th would be fine too.

As far as the grandchilds birthday quilt I say quilt it.. the rest if they come back will make a matching wall hanging :)

Roseysue, so sorry you can't sew!!! I would be chomping at the bit trying to figure out some way. They would have to put me on tranquilizers. LOL. It looks like you are hunting and pecking at the keyboard, so at least you can keep in touch with the sewing community. Hope the healing process goes well. Just send the block when you are going again, no hurry.

oh rosey , as the sweet ladies on her have told me do what u can, and dont ovr due it, and get better, we cant pick when our bodies decide that the doc needs to cut on them, fix them, are in your case do a total makeover, my knee is not a new one but did have a complete makeover, and it was a bit more than wither he or I had anticipated, but it is so much better it was worth it, adn i am slowely getting back to doing a few thing, and my blocks are toddling along, will be posting pics on my album so they can have neat peaks if they so desire, i sure have gotten soem beautiful ones, myself

I'm in a swap at our LQS so sadly I doubt if I'll do #10 given the way this one is dragging along :(.

Moon, I hope you dont drop out of the next boom...we have been together in several of them! I just typed a long post but after I read it I decided I might get kicked out if I posted it so I deleted it! :) It boiled down to "reread the rules... if you dont finish you cant be in another swap"? is this correct? I dont think anyone wants to NOT be able to swap!

I laugh when I read this! (Forgive me, as I don't intend to be rude). The swap is a FOUR MONTH swap with final mailing date of JUNE 1ST-which means could take to June 5th or later to recieve all blocks.....we all know this! To suggest that it is "dragging out" makes me think of how excited you are to do something so wonderful for your dad, and how much harder it is the closer you get to the deadline. It is, of course, your option to sit out on the next. It, too, will have a four month deadline. And, participants will still have life happen that prevents them from meeting the deadlines. I always hate when I check in on the thread and the comments have gotten negative (by more than one participant). This is the thing that will keep me from joining again....will have to think about it!

That being said...all of mine have been sent, last one approx. 2 weeks ago. Hope they have all found thier way home safely! I wait patiently for my grown ups...I have plenty of things to do while I wait.
