Blocks are looking great. I have been hanging around Galveston for a little bit. Going home late Sunday. I know I've gotten several envelopes so will update sometime next week.

Vacation over. I am exhausted. Heading home to Waco today....yesterday. we spent 12 hours between the beach and Pleasure Pier.....

alikat - you know its been fun when you need a vacation from your vacation. Always good to come back home too.

I know. Kids are already trying to plan activities next weekend. Having to set my foot down to get sewing .....it has been a blast!!!!!

Gaijin- received my beautiful block today. Its gorgeous and I love it! It is a variation of 'other side of paradise' block which I will have to look up because I've never heard of it. :) I will have to post a pic tomorrow during daylight hours so the block will look its best.

Jaba - Yay! so happy you got it! I feel like I mailed it an eon ago, so I was getting nervous. I mailed ArizonaKAT's the same day and I don't think she has received hers either.

I just grabbed your grownup out of my mailbox this morning on the way to work. Didn't post yet cause I don't have a pic. It's beautiful (I opened it in the truck :-) and will post a pic tomorrow.

finished two blocks this morning, would like to do one more tonight but we will see how tired i am after vbs.

paperpieceme - VBS is wonderful/awesome/fun all rolled into one. But it flat wears me out. :)

Hi everyone, I have been MIA for a little while and so have been catching up with all the posts......DH had a mild heart attack on Thursday, so what with work and going back and forth to the hospital, things have been quite hectic......but on the upside he is fine, just needs to rest up, and he sees the cardiologist at the end of next month.

I received F8s from Alikat110, Old_Rosebud and Pink Lady on Friday. Hoping to start sewing this weekend.

Here's my block from Old_Rosebud. It's a little blurry. Hard to hold the camera straight at 5 am.

We are practically neighbors! Course if you are just referring to coffee, I'll just have to spike it for you. Wonder if we can get sharp points and straight 1/4" seams with rum and coke in us!

You never know...they might be straighter and sharper. Give it a try ladies....let us know how it turns out
