I'm still trying to decide if I'm joining this one or not - I love these colors but have lots of things started right now.

approximately how much fabric would it take to make 12 blocks :?:

Hi Colletta! I'd love to play too. I'd like to do blocks in Ricky Tim's "Convergence" style.

Cheers!
Linda

That's really hard to answer because it depends on the kind of block and how many different colors you use.

Let's say, I were to do a 12.5" square with a large circle inside:

I would get 3 squares across (37.5") and I would need 4 rows to get 12 blocks. 4 rows = 4X12.5 = 50"

So I would need a minimum of 50" or rougly 1 1/2 yards of fabric one.

If my circles are 10", then I get 4 per row (40") across and I would need 3 rows to get 12 circles. 3X10" = 30" so I would buy 1 yard of the circle fabric.

THat totals to roughly 2 1/2 yards.

thank you very much that gives me a rough idea
