Alrighty, the meeting got cut short. Unfortunately it is just too cold here to have the cookout for the kids so home earlier than we thought. I am so happy to see all of you here to go wild and crazy making some ornaments.

I am starting on matching names up already so i can get everyone their partners hopefully before I go to bed. There is still time for people to join if they would like. We have about a half hour left. There is one person wanting to join but needed a few questions answered first and I just now got home to answer them so will be giving that person a freebie on closing so she can get her info to me. I may have to ask for a volunteer to partner with her though depending on when she gets back to me but we will deal with that later.

Dedemac, I assume you do tatting? Or is it used in a different way? I once many years ago was shown how to do a bit of tatting by a dear neighbor, but didn't keep it up, so now I don't know. It was a delicate, but beautiful craft.

i play it smart and start ahead of the game. i go to local thrift store at least weekly and tend to buy up a lot of discarded x stitch, embroidery and sewing kits that people no longer want. So my ornaments will come from my increasing stash of kits

Yes, I have helpers, my kids. They are the ones that matched everyone up. Three of them sat here with me drawing the names out the hat for me. I did however send all the names out myself. Just call me Wonder Woman. LOL

June, Yes I do needle tatting, have tried the shuttle but have not gotten very good at that version yet. But with the needles I think I'm okay, I enjoy doing it and I think that is what counts in crafts. I think I had pictures on last years thread.
