It's cuter in person.

I saw some really cute angel ornaments on Craftsy and I am going to experiment with Dresden stars and Cathedral Windows. Hopefully something jumps out at me - or I will just ask my mom!

This is not the ornament I was asking about (of course), but
it is one that I am working on.

Still need to add a lot of embellishments to it etc...

Very nice Quilty-Louise.

NZquilter, the first year I was in the swap I was gifted a wine cork reindeer. They are really cute.

Beautiful!!! I saw the ribbon stars posted on Pinterest and am trying to figure out how to make them with fabric strips. Tons of starch most likely or maybe a fusible interfacing???

m-fay 09-29-2016 03:39 AM

i'm making another one too

RedGarnet222 09-29-2016 08:49 AM

I started one yesterday too. It is pretty cute and done from a free pattern on bhg site.

I love the bird. I've been looking for new ideas.

NZquilter 10-04-2016 01:47 PM

That bird is so cute!! I love the embroidery on it.

Anoka Quilter 10-04-2016 04:16 PM

Hi Red, I don't mind at all. I would encourage everyone to share ornaments you find with the group.

I was going to hold off until the swap closed to begin posting pictures, but maybe I will have to take some time this weekend and get things organized and begin posting fun ideas for everyone.

Red...I love the little "Let It Snow" dog.

I cannot believe you already have snow. Even here in MN we haven't seen the white stuff yet, and hopefully we won't for awhile yet.

I love the bird and bell ornament. I am posting some of pics of hand made felt ornaments I made last year as samples when I taught some of our small community Hall Craft group Christmas Ornaments. I just collected pictures from the internet and then made my own patterns. Hand stitching these ornaments is very relaxing.

jacquie 10-06-2016 12:52 AM

Betty! These ornaments are just lovely!!! I love them all!!!
Thank you for sharing them with us!! I will definitely keep them in mind for further years!!
Hugs and happy sewing! Jacquie xxx

Cheesehead 10-06-2016 03:48 AM

Wow Betty! Each and every one of those ornaments are so pretty. I would find a front and center spot to show them off on my tree!

Those are great! I just finished making mine so ready to mail. I love felt ornaments though and I might make some if I can crawl out from under everything.Starting a Hunter's Star quilt so we will see.

I'm home alone this year. Not sure about a tree but may use white branches for hand made ornaments in my studio.

Quilty-Louise 10-07-2016 07:06 AM

Here is a link to a Santa ornament, I have made this one from this pattern but I would prefer to enlarge it as it is quite small.

http://gingermelondolls.blogspot.com...ttern.html?m=1

Picture of the Santa ornament I made also a felt beaded angel and a round felt ornament, I received one like this from an ornament swap and liked it so much I decided to make one like it.

lynnie 10-10-2016 01:56 PM

tolepainter54 10-11-2016 07:05 PM

NZquilter 10-12-2016 05:14 PM

For my family's Christmas tree I made a cute little snowman out of an old sock. It's darling! I'm on the hunt now through DH's socks to find more "holey" socks to make a snowman family!
