Just popping in to say, hey! I did manage to read this entire thread last night as I was falling off to sleep. The DQ's coming in are great, I am sure they will start to fly now! I mailed mine this morning, so this is a much better record than last month! What's up with this weather? K, I cannot believe you guys had this snow storm before you could even clean up from Sandy. I hope you are all doing well. Sounds like life, with the exception of the red tape stuff, is getting a little normalized. Glad to see you are back sewing, I hope that relaxes you as much as it does me. This strips and stripes theme was fun. I can't wait to share my creation with all, it is something you all see and do a lot, but it was my first attempt at it, and I absolutely loved it. I love the scrappy look, and this fit right into that, as well as the strips and stripes.

Did you ladies buy up all that "hunk" fabric? Doesn't even show up anymore. Too bad -- I know a couple people who would really appreciate a piece of that (uh-no pun intended).

Tess, forgot to add, I will be mailing yours on Monday when the Post Office opens up. I have been having trouble for two days getting page 9 (last page) to load, when I would hit last, it would take me to page 7. Anyone else having a grumpy computer?

I got my DQ fromHearthhush today. It is absolutely beautiful! She used a pattern I just downloaded cause I liked it so much, and it is my favorite color! Yellow, very springy! It came with matching mug rug. I will post pictures when I get in to town on Tuesday, or when I figure out how to do it with my phone. Thank you, Hearthhush, from the bottom of my heart.

I got a BEAUTIFUL doll quilt from DiFergie!! (I'm embarrassed how long it's taken me to post this!)

Di - The star was adorable; what glimpse I got of it! My son immediately announced, "That's for me" and marched it off to his room to hang it up. It's hanging proudly on his wall now; he loves finding 'his' ::ahem, MY:: goodies in the mail!

And yours is on the way! Shipped it today! :)

Here's how I have just spent three wonderful days - lovely sunny weather, sewing and reading on the verandah. Got the blocks for 2 quilts done and ready to join together. Why don't you come join me?? :)

I have been doing the dolls quilt swap for over 2 years now and I have kept a record of the dolls quilts I sent and received each month in a display folder. Some of my little DQs are displayed on the wall in my sewing room and I have had displays of them occasionally in the public library and the local community centre but other than that, they are packed neatly away in bag. I find having the record in the display folder allows me to look through them every now and again to refresh where I sent a quilt and where I got one from. How does everyone else keep a record of what little quilts they sent/received?
